LFC as a club don't get rid of managers until they are fairly sure they have reached the end of the road, as bad as things are at present I am not sure we are there yet. There are mitigating circumstances for this season with the players and the manager with what happened in the summer with Jota. Slot handled that really well and it is an almost unique situation, we don't know the impact it has had on Slot and the players and how it manifests itself.

I was watching the Dalglish film last week and it was only really quite a bit later that he or people related to the club really acknowledged that his resignation etc was related to the stress and everything of Hillsborough, I don't really like drawing the comparison, but I wonder if Jota's death is taking a similar toll on Slot and the players. Kenny's resignation stemmed from his inability to make a decision on a sub. Wondering if something like that is happening with Slot. He got so much right last season and so much wrong this it almost seems unfathomable. Yes there are tactical issues, changes to the system and new players so it could be more to do with that, we don't really know.

The way we bought certainly suggested that.

Was only when the season started that the situation out wide started to become baffling and more and more so with each game.
I assumed Slot had a plan, since HE is the professional, but apparently not.....

The opposition don’t have any fear against this team and they smell the blood. He can’t stay or the season is about survival rather than trying to get European football for next season or trying to do something in the CL.

There will be a lot more big losses if he stays around.
We are possibly the worst team in the EPL right now.

For all we know Guehi was wanted so we could go with three CBs and then have Gomez and Leoni be the cover.

The lack width is massive choke points for us. Diaz was a way better all-round player than Gakpo and Salah last season. I can understand the players we brought in, but the wide player situation is very confusing. The amateur eye could see that.
Most people, myself included, were delighted with our business, even before Isak was signed. But that was coupled with an expectation that we would see a new way of playing. I don't think anybody was looking at the signings and expecting to see Kerkes barely leaving his half, Frimpong warming the bench. We bought wingbacks, we expected wingbacks. We bought a number 10 for over 100m, we expected to play with a number 10. It was exciting, waiting to see the new game plan in action, and it never came.

A new manager comes in, can he fix the injury list?
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I don't think anybody was looking at the signings and expecting to see Kerkes barely leaving his half, Szobo at RB, and Gakpo as a first choice left forward. I think we are getting to the same end result in different ways. My only concerns were out wide, looking at like for like replacements, but to your point we have the same formation. In hindsight, I trusted Slot and club.

With what we have right now, our best formation is a 4-3-1-2. But I have no idea what Slot's plan is.

Kerkez was one of the top two left backs last season, Frimpong has been flying as a wing back for years. Wirtz is world class right now, Isak is one of the top 3 strikers in the world but here we are.
