From the outside looking in, it looks more likely the coach would go before players though. Do think what would save him is winning the CL.

Only thing I am pretty sure about is that he will make it to June as head coach or rather that the only way he will not be head coach until June would be if he quit.

Zero chance there’s ’no discussion’ his contracts up in 18 months!

        No leaks more like!

I could see the case where they say that things with Jota affected the squad preparation and fitness, resulting in more injuries etc and factors which weren't predicted such as Salah's form falling off a cliff, could also see some kind of collective responsibility argument where they didn't give him to tools he needed etc. If all the issues this season are attributed to the tragic circumstances in the summer next season should be better, but if the football is still **** and we don't get off to a good start he is immediately under pressure and we are in danger of having to write off another season. At this point it feels like it could be more of a risk to keep him than replace him

Obviously they can't come out and say 'We're booting him out of the door as soon as the season is done' even if that is what they intend to do, but I have never been as convinced as many that he gets the sack this summer, as I have said previously I could see a scenario where he is the one who initiates a move (not suited to the league or homesick and missing his family etc...)
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Could also depend who the main target is to replace him. If they are available in the off season do you make the move or risk not being able the get them until the start of the season after if they’re currently at a club and won’t leave during the season. Or if it’s someone like Alonso who’s free now and you don’t make the move and he gets another job.

                    Plenty of things to consider.

I don't know why we are discussing potential interim managers, like Gerrard. We've a handful of games left - it just won't make a difference. If Slot goes - and I'm not convinced he will - there is no way it is getting done outside of a close season. Frankly I like the fact that the owners don't knee-jerk the way some of us do.
                      Really?

He's got exceptional speed but came up against a player just as fast, but bigger and stronger too; he (Frimpong) had to stretch and strain every fibre of his being to stay in the fight - you could see the extra effort a more diminutive player has to make in order to at least make a fist of it vs a bigger opponent - there is no doubting the effort but how big a toll is this constant effort going to take, notwithstanding the numerous injury setbacks he's already had? And that's ignoring how much of a liability he is with high-balls to the back post.

The balance of the squad looks totally off, with too many passengers when we haven't got the ball.
So how big a player is Connor Bradley then?

The only way I can see Slot staying is if we win big ears but he has defo'd struggled this year

This is a part of an article from the Athletic about Salah going and what the plan is after he goes.

Part of the plan post-Salah is that Liverpool will have the option of playing a 4-2-2-2 with Isak and Ekitike paired together up front + Wirtz and Szoboszlai operating in front of two deeper-lying midfielders. One of the priorities is to get Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz in the same team.

This seems weird as we are linked with plenty of wingers and I’ve seen it mentioned we could be in for a couple in the summer window and then add in Rio as well. I know it’s says the option of playing but that would mean we’d need more forwards as you can’t have your only two playing together regularly. Did they not have a plan of how to get them all in the team when they signed them in the first place?

And right now wouldn’t that suit Salah better than playing wide.

Why would the club be divulging future plans and tactics with journalists though?

You think the sporting, political, financial and entertainment worlds turn without first checking what us lot have to say about things?
