Maybe I should've raised the Financial bar a bit to include Salah, Mane, Wjinaldum, Fabinho and Jota. My point should've been more about him improving players than the costOriginally posted by Catrin View PostKlopp did that with Robbo certainly. Slot arguably transformed Gravenberch last season, then transformed him back again but still…

All those players did improve under Klopp but we also bought all of them after they have been player of the year (or in the running for it) that season at their respective clubs. Plus they were all in the 30m to 50m bracket which would probably be players in the 60m to 100m bracket these days.
Think the first three in particular did sky rocket under Klopp though. Wijnaldum in particular as he went from being an attacking midfielder/winger to being a high class CM.
Fabinho was already excelling to a very high level at league and Champions league level when we got him. Think his reading of the game got better with us, but think he would have gained the experience for that to happen anyway. He just looked that good at Monaco.
Jota is an interesting one. He did look better with us, but then again he was surrounded by far better players than he was at Wolves so he went from being the guy that often carried his team with goals and assists to being a guy in a team of equals (and betters in some cases).
Think guys like Robertson or Matip would be better examples of guys that turned from promising or good to being world class under Klopp.
What is interesting under Klopp is how many of the cheaper players, with only a few exceptions, went on to be nothing more than filler for us before moving on whereas our success hit rate with the more expensive transfers was crazy good with only a few exceptions.
Do have a feeling that our bigger money transfers from the Slot era will also turn out to be equally good signings though under what manager I have no idea.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

One we are a club that tends to be clow to sack managers, especially those with some credit in the bank.
Secondly, and possibly the closest to the truth, would be that if we do want a change then the guy we want simply is not willing or able to move until the summer.
You know what would be wild though. Us winning the CL this year and then Slot handing in his notice after the final having won the league and CL in back to back seasons.
we're getting knocked out tonight mate

All joking aside, we have had a ****in terrible season but if we somehow found form especially in front of goal and had 3 or 4 good results on the spin - starting with a worldie tonight against PSG - then we could have a chance of a cl final ffs.Originally posted by Doc_Piptorious View PostWe're facking coming third AND are winning the CL
Go get 'em Arne
How ****in beautiful it would be if we ended up with #7 after a cluster**** of a season and Arsenal won **** all
Very unlikely obviously but would be beautiful

Sorry but you can't be serious. He rarely, ever even looks for thr fullback..And pro football doesn't rely on shouting surely. Overlapping fullbacks is a staple attacking strategy but this dope never even thinks about it.Originally posted by Scratch View PostHe does pass outside, as seen when Robbo plays or last season with Diaz, as I think both of them are a lot more vocal in demanding the ball, whereas Kerkez is making the runs and just expecting to be found.
Or...slot instructs him not to use FBs...in which case he's the dope. One of them is.Last edited by BG1973; 14-04-26, 07:00 PM.
