We should be doing that now, no point in delaying it. We need bodies on the bench

The next month is massive, between now and 5th Jan we have 9 games, 7 in the PL, one in the CL and one in the League Cup. It looks like Konate and Bradley are out for that period, it would be good if we could get some of the other guys back for some of these to give us some options and allow a bit of rest or rotation.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Christmas period is always scary. But that will apply to all the clubs. Even scarier to those so far behind that they'll fear getting a pass wrong from defence or pull their shot going for extra accuracy.

In terms of numbers, the max number of points in the PL is 114. We can still achieve max of 109. Arsenal 100 and City only 98. Obviously none of the teams will hit max. So the arbitrary target based on last two seasons is 90 points.

We can afford to drop 19 points! Arsenal 10 and City only 8. In terms of games (with max possible losses) :

We can lose 5 and draw 2.
Arsenal lose 2 and draw 2.
City lose 2 and draw 1.
            One tit for another.

The danger with the media narrative is you almost start to believe being miles ahead in the league is a negative Being so far ahead means you can afford the odd game like tonight. The chasing pack need to be perfect, hope we drop 7 points and that just puts them level.

So close to the 3 points tonight… so close.

Dust ourselves down, appreciate the point and go again.

Said it in the match thread the level Newcastle had to play at and the work rate they needed to put in to draw at home to an underperforming Liverpool shows the level the team is at this season.

Well, that didn't take long to update. My, my, my.

Arsenal can only get to 98 points now and City 96. Verrrry little room for mistakes and maneuver.

More concerned about Chelsea I think. What's the prediction for them?

City are the irrelevant ones as it stands

Two more than Arsenal. So Chelsea can max at 100 points from here. I'll add them to the list of getting to 90:

We can lose 5 and draw 1
Chelsea can lose 3 and draw 1
Arsenal lose 2 and draw 1
City can lose 2 and draw 0
                              One tit for another.

Still a half decent weekend if results go our way tomorrow. Arsenal and City now practically out of it with only 2 games buffer. That means they have to go hard against each other as well as against Chelsea.
