Thanjk you.

I haven't looked at our fixtures around then but 2 games v Spurs is tricky and energy sapping. And if we win we get to play either arsenal or Newcastle as a reward. Throw in the fact that we have a rescheduled game v Everton in there as well.....then that makes it already congested. Just feel like we need a few bodies if we are going to go for everything.
If we're not careful, we could end up handing Chelsea an easy sneaky league here
We've tried and failed before to fight on 4 fronts

Fixtures don't look too bad TBH.
We play Spurs midweek in Jan, before the Accrington game, so chance to rest.
Feb is set up for Bournemouth Sat, Spurs midweek, FA Cup weekend (hopefully easy draw, but rest players regardless), Everton midweed.
There was some benefit to the cups last year too, getting fringe players sine valuable minutes. Maybe Endo will kick on after Southampton game and make his way into Slott's plans and hopefully Nunez can build from that goal.
Also think Spurs as a draw will suit us well if Ange is still manager. Rather them than the likes of a Fulham or Bournemouth who everyone would expect us to beat easily.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
I’d rather sack off the FA cup at this stage. We’re in the semi final and there’s a lot of the big hitters out already. Also I like that the league cup is wrapped up early and not running in parallel with the business end of the league and champions league.
Of course, there’s an argument to say we should be sacking off both cups- I’m guessing slot will play a similar team to what played against Southampton. Great that the likes of Salah, virg, Alison, gravy etc weren’t even on the bench.
i would say see how we’re doing after the United game. Our next 2 games would be this first leg and then the acrington game in the FA cup, so I would say plenty of players will be getting plenty of rest that week. If we do get past spurs, then by the time the final comes around we should have a better idea of how the title race is shaping up. If we’re 15 points clear or so (which isn’t unthinkable) then we may as well try for everything…
all depending on the draws for both the FA Cup 4th round (assuming we get past Accrington Stanley.......whoever they are) but it would be nice to get the type of piss easy cup run that Man City have gotten over the years - a nice home game v Port Vale or something would be great.
Champions League doesnt really kick in for us again until March so a lot can happen between now and then.......but with a bit of luck with injuries and a couple of favourable draws, this could be a really awesome season

Chelsea have a piss easy few weeks so we need to keep up our league form.

I wonder if Klopp would have stayed on if he'd had any idea how spectacularly Man City were going to implode this season.
I wonder if his absence has had any impact on their mentality? After a decent start and with Haaland being in such good form, did they think it would just be a procession? Hard to make a logical case based on this season alone and obviously Rodri is the biggest factor, but I always felt City were nowhere near their best in the years we weren't challenging.
I definitely think he always seen Klopp as his biggest competitor, regardless of how well Arsenal played.

I touched on this in another thread - Klopps absence is bound to have affected Pep, it looks like the effort of staying in front has taken a heavy toll. Without Klopp, Pep has nothing
We can lose 5 and draw 0
Chelsea can lose 3 and draw 1
Arsenal lose 2 and draw 0
City can lose 1 and draw 0
I'm still here Norbs.
City in massive trouble. Can't get more than 93 points if they win every single game. Arsenal beware, despite an "easy" run to the end of their season they can't afford to feck up any more games before they get to that 'easy run'. (Edit: forgot to add, that includes fecking up Chelsea. )
Out of the competitors to the holy grail I would take Chelsea. Suddenly they're not flying under the radar anymore and the bottle pressure is on them.
