If only we didnt have Nunez. We'd be miles clear..."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

We are shipping too many goals. Started with the Southampton game but I excused them, thinking they were (a) just a bit complacent and (b) thinking of the Real Madrid game, but from Newcastle onwards it has felt like we are giving goals away cheaply. I have thought too that we've been playing a bit more wildly - like a Klopp team rather than a Slot team. We need to act back a bit of that conservatism.

Closest rival watch: Arsenal have 5 home games in a row against top opposition. Newcastle, Utd (rejuvenated), Spurs, Villa, Zagreb.
Arteta could decide to rest players against Newcastle thus handing them the semi, or Utd thus exiting the FA Cup early. I don't think he will do either. Zagreb is also a crucial CL match. We just have to hope they completely fatigue and drop points in this run of games. One tit for another.

Probably coincided with Konate being out - he’s snuffs out so much danger
He’s excused for yesterdays defensive **** show as it was his first game back

When there is a weakness within one position in defence it is going to massively impact the other defenders and CDM. Trent giving the ball away and not tracking back meant the defence was out of position on numerous occasions creating numerous overloads.
I wonder how Slot felt. He should have hooked Trent earlier but then these bigger negotiations must be in his mind also.m and the optics of subbing Trent off definitely has significance.
The contract situations with three key players are sub optimum and need sorted asap. For Hughes and FSG - Forget next season and any future seasons. There is a League title on the line here. I’d be making all decisions with that in mind. The money in play for Salah and VVD for two year extensions is not crippling. In both cases a risk worth taking when we have a title on the line and the scarcity of that opportunity over the last 30 years.Modifying post.

100% there were times yesterday when he was covering a quarter of the pitch, it was as bad as when Trent was doing his hybrid thing.Originally posted by danperkins View PostYeah I think people underestimate just how much covering Konate does for Trent. Not an ideal work load for a guy that gets injured alot.
Then when he does cover RB, Trent moves to CB, but cos he isn’t the best, Virgil is also pulled to the right and Robbo is left to cover half the pitch. I didn’t see that happen as much with Bradley AND he was more of an attacking threat too. I wish we had made the change at 2-1 and we would have won that game.We are here for a good time not a long time....

And he had the weakest link “ defender “playing on his right hand side which did him no favours at all.Originally posted by rudedog View PostProbably coincided with Konate being out - he’s snuffs out so much danger

Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
