4 players: Konate, Gravenberch, Gakpo and Nunez will be suspended for 1 PL game (Forest) if they get booked against Man Utd, if they get through that we don’t need to worry about suspensions for totting up of bookings for a while.

Half of the accumulated yellows will have been bull**** as well, we seem to get reffed completely differently when it comes to dishing out cards.Originally posted by Exiled_red View Post4 players: Konate, Gravenberch, Gakpo and Nunez will be suspended for 1 PL game (Forest) if they get booked against Man Utd, if they get through that we don’t need to worry about suspensions for totting up of bookings for a while.

Forest are second. We should be worried about thatOriginally posted by Exiled_red View Post4 players: Konate, Gravenberch, Gakpo and Nunez will be suspended for 1 PL game (Forest) if they get booked against Man Utd, if they get through that we don’t need to worry about suspensions for totting up of bookings for a while. In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

No it's 5 bookings in first 19 PL games gets a 1 game PL ban 10 bookings in first 32 games gets 2 game ban, but it is purely PL for totting up.Originally posted by frank the tank View PostDo they not miss one of the cup games instead??
And Forest doing so well would be a tough game to lose those guys for
Red card suspensions cover all domestic competitionsThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

We can lose 5 and draw 0
Chelsea can lose 0 and draw 0
Arsenal lose 0 and draw 2
(no I'm STILL not adding Forest to this list, lol)
Chelsea barely holding on to the race to 90 points. Arsenal dropping points against Brighton will put them in a similar position. Come on you seagulls.Last edited by BigChief; 04-01-25, 08:46 PM.One tit for another.

Yep, 6 points is feck all at this stage of the season, and the game in hand is away at Everton in what will be their last Derby at the ground. One slip up and the pressure will be immense.Originally posted by Sus View PostWould like Arsenal to give up and **** off so we can have half a season of a title procession
That’s not too much to ask for, is it?Glass half empty club

That's a negative way to look at it I suppose. Chelsea were close to being 3 points behind us not long ago and have fallen away with the pressure of keeping up.Originally posted by fabinho View PostYep, 6 points is feck all at this stage of the season, and the game in hand is away at Everton in what will be their last Derby at the ground. Arsenal have Saka missing, Odegard not playing at pre-injury levels and some very tough CL games coming up, potentially with knockout legs. Any catching up they do will be temporary when February comes along. One tit for another.

I can never get my head around the narrative of ‘only 6 points’ (with game in hand) as almost being a negative, or that the pressure is almost a negative. It’s 100% where we want to be. It is 100% where Arsenal want to be.
They have to be almost perfect to catch us and hope we lose two matches. They have looked more likely than us to do the same. We also have a game in hand, which is an awesome safety blanket, blah blah blah Everton etc but it’s another three points to be won that puts our lead at 9 points. If we are 6 ahead when we play this game and turn it to a 9 point league then we are almost there.
Does this team look weak? Does this team look fatigued?
Does this team look focused? Does this team look to be on a mission? Does this team have experience in knowing what it takes?
It’s going to be exciting, I for one am looking forward to these next 5 months.Modifying post.

TBF, Slot only dropped 6 points 2nd half of season with Feyenoord, drawing 3 times. So far this season, we've been a much better team second half of games. It's not inconceivable we finish 2nd half of season stronger, if we are lucky with injuries. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
