In a way, I'm pleased now that Tarkowski escaped punishment, he'll be hacking at Arsenal at weekend

Was pretty obvious, but there tribalism around this on social media is so tiresome, if fans of one club complain about something like this, fans of another club bring up other **** decisions that the first club got away with.

It makes no real difference. Everyone who has seen that challenge has said it was a straight red.

Nothing will come of the blatant incompetence shown by the officials last night.

Will Tarkowski be retrospectively handed a red card. I know the rules state that if a red card is a result of 2 yellows then they can't intervine, but in this case a straight red was missed by both officials, so surely they can give him a 3 match ban after the event. It doesn't help us (but we won and escaped without any injuries) but it would be nice to see them show some gumption in this case.

Same should apply to Pickford but we know it won't.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I don't think so. He was booked last night and that is the end of the matter.

Had no action been taken then they could issue a retrospective red card

Pickford last night on Nunez, or are you talking about the lunge he did on VVD that he escaped unpunished for? Last night on Nunez it should have been yellow at the most I think, so they won't look at that. But in the case of a blatent red being missed (which they have acknowledged) what is to stop action after the event? Does the fact he was booked mean they cannot intervene?

Edit: Just seen the post above. Seems like the yellow card he received protects him from further punishment. Weird way of working it, but what can you do.

We must have gotten more apologies from pgmol than any other team. How about tierney not officiate our games anymore or at the very least suspended for being ****. Same with normal ref. If we had drawn or lost that match, this apology would be less than useless. Almost mocking.

Apologies mean **** all it would be nice if PGMOL at least pretended that they were going to acknowledge the problem like companies do when one of their employees makes a mistake by saying something like 'we will ensure that our staff receive appropriate training...' Better still they actually did something like change procedures, better trained officials or got new ones.

Chances are nothing would happen but it would at least look like they were going to do something even if they do **** all, pisses me off more that they can't even be bothered to pay lip service to it.

Probably not, but we want Everton at full strength nevertheless.

That's the flip side of the Tarkowski situation, him being sent off would have weakened Everton in defence & Arsenal having Saka back.
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Arsenal are beating Everton, no question. Everton have just had their cup final and put it all in against us, they will 1) be knackered, 2) are playing against our main title rivals so won't be as keen to get a win as they were yesterday 3) have nothing to play for.

An easy 3 points for Arsenal coming up.
