I'm astonished it's not been reviewed and upgraded. Wasn't it before that if the referee had acted at the time with a yellow then that couldn't be altere

Either way it's a ****ty decision and he's a cunt

I was equally annoyed that not one of our players sought any retribution on that prick Tarkowski later, ****ing smash him and take a yellow. We are way too nice as a team.

We were ****e and all the recent failings are there to see but we won, and right now that’s all that matters. 13 points needed and limp over the line if that’s all we can do but get it done.

Two big observations that lead to things we need to address medium term:

      1) Trent - he’s leaving, we know that. His recent injury show how much we will miss his build up. Forget the Hollywood balls and look at how quick he gets the ball to Salah which gives him 1 on 1 opportunities. Last night every time he got the ball there were 3 guys on him. We need to find another way to construct our building up so it’s not slow plodding side to side

      2) The squad - we may well go on and win the league but it’s so apparent there are many areas we can improve on. I don’t know if that’s good or bad Part of me thinks a full refresh and build would be good, including Mo and VVD going….. we need more players that Arne trusts because while it’s great he keeps the players fit, it’s harder to keep them fresh and with energy

Anyway, here we are top of the league with all these problems
I’m sure I saw VVD giving him a good shove to the ground or something in the second half at a corner. They got a free kick for it. Might not be a big smashing but someone did give him something back.

And he had the nerve to whinge to the ref constantly throughout the game when he shouldn’t have been out there.

When you see ex refs and ex players all in complete agreement you know it’s a serious one.

Even big Dunc who went to jail for assault on a football pitch said it was red FFS

Serious enough to issue an apology. That’s worthless unless Tierney gets some sanction regarding officiating our games. His bias clearly extends to the club and not just Klopp. Barrott needs to go to the Championship for more training. He was so far out of his depth it was embarrassing.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

            Well in Arne, much needed.

              Less well in.

"We all know that mistakes are being made in a football match by us, by me, by referees, and it's good that they acknowledged the mistake, but I think it was so clear, that so many pundits that are not Liverpool fans, all of them were clear about it as well.

"I think it's quite an OK [season] for the referees in England. Mistakes are being made but the most important thing is that it doesn't influence the league table. The only answer to that is at the end of the season if we see the table and feel if it has influenced. But it's normal that it does because mistakes are part of our lives, also from referees."

Come on, why be so understanding. What are we scared of?

                Who’s that from, Arne?
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Everyone knew it was a red. You don't need Arne to highlight how bad a decision it was.

He's already served a 2 match touchline ban for having a go at a ref.

No point him potentially witnessing his greatest footballing achievement from the stands because he highlighted the obvious and was censored for it

It's letting them off the hook though. It's a yellow card statement.

Should be able to go further and make the points we're all thinking, politely.

It needs to be brought to a head.

Not by Slot and certainly not at this stage of the season it doesn't.

As has been seen countless times before PGMOL are entirely unaccountable to anyone but themselves. It's a depressing situation but I don't want our manager being further censured this season for pointing out the blindingly obvious.

We lost a title a few seasons back because of bias refereeing. We shouldnt even need Slot to be saying anything at this point. Once the season is over the club, Henry, should go right for them and demand certain assurances.

Everyone in the world agrees it was BS, even Duncan ****ing ferguson.

We've got refs coked up calling our former manager a German cunt, and var making inexplicable decisions. Player career influencing decisions and for some reason we are afraid to say it how it is.

Everyone else thinks it, says it but the guy responsible for our team isn't allowed to say it how it is. By that reckoning he's permanently censured so what else is there to lose?

Anyway.. I'm labouring it and don't want to be critical of Slot. But it is gross where the game has gone.. and tired of it.

Did Jurgen ever expand on his “what Tierney said to me was not on” comments?
                            Never knowingly optimistic

Yes. Much ado about nothing really.

"Paul Tierney came over to me and I didn't expect a red card at all. I expected a yellow card. He said to me 'for me it's a red card, but because of him [John Brooks] it's yellow'. That's what I understood. He showed me a yellow card and smiled in my face. That's it. I was like 'red card for what?!' and stood there."

The "not okay" part was referring to the idea that it could have been red, because Jürgen didn't think that was right. Possibly a language barrier thing, but there was no untoward conversation.

I still think VAR referees need to be from different associations or trained completely separately from on-field referees.

Any one of us can point out obvious stuff but you'd need training on how to apply the rules effectively such as Diaz's non-offside involvement in Jota's goal.
