I mean the team is so dysfunctional it’s kind of hard to judge anyone right now.

Players who were so consistent last season, and for many seasons before, look way below average this season.

It’s difficult for him to come in and take over and be the creative spark when the team moves the ball so slowly and the movement off the ball is limited.

You can see he has great game intelligence we just don't have the players around him making the runs, if for example he had prime Salah and Mane ahead of him he'd be great lack of movement ahead of him really limits what he can do.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Hopefully. He could do with more pace. Milner beat him in a foot race today

If he is utilised to his ability, pace won’t be a factor, I’d like to see him a bit deeper in a Thiago like role, a conductor.

Exactly that. He simply cannot play the quick passes or do the fast pone-twos because a lot of the time he gets the ball and there is nobody to pass to. He has to check his movement and look for someone to arrive or if nobody is there he has to go sideways or backwards in order to not lose the ball.

Is no surprise when he has Hugo next to him or an in form Jones that he looks great as he then stands out with how fast he can move the ball and for how quickly he can switch play and sent other player's into space with the ball.

Right now he is being hamstrung by our plodding along. The kid is a special talent but is getting dragged down to the pace of our play.

Have zeros worries about him, Kerkez or Ekitike tbh. Think all three are going to explode when changes are made at the club and a more cohesive and uptempo style of play becomes the norm.

How the **** are we still 5th???

We’ve just lost to bottom of the table Wolves, drawn to a Spurs side in free fall at home, and lost to Brighton away. 1 point out of 9.

                  This league is ****e.

He's clearly a very talented footballer, and should be the one making the difference for us especially in tight games, but i just don't see where his best position in our team is.

He would years ago have been a traditional 10, playing behind the striker but nobody plays like that anymore. I wonder if we need to change the formation to be getting the best from him?

When we've got him, Isaak, Frimpong and Ekitike interlinking under a manager who knows how to use him we'll see the best of him.

                          That’s because Milner is Bionic.

I haven't been overly impressed with Wirtz this season but also very hard to judge in such a dysfunctional setup under the current manager. Ekitike has been very good in moments, decent overall and Kerkez has really improved in recent months but we need to see way more from Wirtz to justify that enormous fee and the talent he has.

Wirtz needs to be feeding movement and finishers. We have looked between average and poor on those fronts so what Wirtz does best is badly hampered.

Think when we become a more cohesive unit you will see exactly why we bought him.
