Bournemouth are one of the hardest working and best coached sides in the league, they were never going to lie down. Semenyo is one of the most powerful wide forwards as well and tbh he’d be a great addition for us but it seems he’s committed his future to Bournemouth

My only worry is that we seemed v open again and last season while we bedded in we were very pragmatic. If we are this open vs Newcastle and Arsenal then we’ll struggle given they are both very powerful. I hope he goes with the midfield 3 from last season and plays Wirtz wider with Kerkez being allowed to overlap (his natural game) to give us better control

      No, not at all.

I think we're going to take a while to bed the new lads in, potentially a different way of playing too. If we add Isak and an established quality center back, that'll put us in the mix, but as it stands 4th.

Agree on Semenyo - he seems to be improving year on year also.

Last two games have highlighted how important Gravenberch is to the team. None of the other midfielders can do what he does.

I don't think you can underestimate the effect that the loss of Jota will have on the squad mentally. I have lost one of my closest and oldest friends completely out of the blue this summer too and the effect it has had on me and the remaining group of friends mentally is massive. In a game where that few percent makes a massive difference a squad grieving one of their own is going to struggle at points IMO. Yes they will have great support but if they were to win the league in those circumstances it would be a remarkable achievement.

You saw Salah at end of the game, the emotions are still very raw for him, and likely most of the others

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I agree it’s not quite unprecedented but it is not far off.

If you watch the club interviews post match every single one of them mentions how emotional a night it was. They still have his place with his number within the dressing room. The knowledge that Diogos wife and family were at the match.

The fact that every goal is a dedication to Diogo tells you how much he is on their minds. I’m sure they have access to the best counselling by there is still a process for them to work through. It is a lot for these young men to deal with.

And, as you say to see literally how raw the emotion was with Salah at full time tells you a lot. These guys are still grieving.

You could tell Salah was effected all night. In the tunnel before the game he was crouched down on his haunches and looking like he was elsewhere.

Then his angry reaction to the scuffle with the Bournemouth player at a corner. He never usually reacts like that.

I reckon city will win it. Chelsea, arsenal and ourselves will battle it out for the next three places. I'll go Chelsea, us, arsenal.

I agree with your top 4 but I have no idea which way it finishes.

I’d go City, Us , Arsenal then Chelsea

If its not us, then as dirty as it sounds, I would prefer City to win it.

Why Chlesea above us? They finished 15 points behind us last season and haven’t strengthened where they needed to (a proven goal scorer)

I think we'll win the league again. Wolves have lost players and signed cloggers, it's no surprise they lost badly to City.

It’s hard to know with City, they’ll roll out don’t strike the fear in me as they did with peak KDB, Silva, Aguero, Sane etc

I think Arsenal have signed well, Zubimendi frees Rice to go box to box and it gives them the most balanced defense in the league. Their set piece ability is a real plus but I’m not sure Gyokeres can replicate his form in the PL. if they signed another wide forward instead of Martinelli then they’ll be hard to beat unless Arteta prevents them

Chelsea have CL now do they can’t play two separate sides each week and they’ve CWC will eventually catch up.

We are the team to beat but we also need another defender and attacker, I’d love another DM but that ain’t happening

You maybe right. I can see another big total needed thsi year. Could City pushing close to a 100 pointa again

Just time together. They have such a big and deep squad, I think they're finding their feet and understanding their manager. Maybe you're correct and goalscoring might be problematic, it's what hampered them last season, but if they sort that they'll be properly challenging.

Zubamendi had a tough debut, as did Gyökeres who barely kicked the ball. United are improved, they will not challenge but they will trip teams up I think.

Chelsea are a basket case. Apparently Palmer hasnÂ’t scored outwith pens in the PL since Feb.

Of all the forwards coming into the league Ekitike has definitely started the best tho Cesko looks a handful.

We will be in and amongst it and we are as champions who have invested in some top talent the team to beat! As it should be. I think Jota is a factor and IÂ’d not be surprised to see the lads hit an emotional wall at some point.
