Did he say "I gave up"?

    Or did he say "we"?

I think he was taking collectively responsibility. I cant imagine him actually giving up during a game
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

With perhaps the exception of Jeremy frimpong, all the signings made by Richard hughes have shown great promise and I cant really fault them. I can fault, quibbling over 5M for Marc Guehi, but he has signed good players.

Clearly the inability of the coaches to integrate the players and to create a clear system of play has been the critical factor.

the problem is now that its nigh on impossible to make a change this late on in a season. I think contracts have been signed already and Arne knows he is off to Ajax, and the Liverpool management dont want to taint him before he leaves by firing him out of respect.

We are stuck in limbo until the end of the season
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

Fair post, think there is a caveat for Jota and the injuries too, though do think not making a change earlier may be just as much down to the availability of the intended new coach as well. Be it someone that wants to see out the season at his current club or someone who is managing at the world cup this summer. Hopefully not the latter.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I'm not one for writing off season, but if we were comfortably in a CL qualification spot by not in a title race maybe you could say 'leave it and we'll be alright for a few games' just let the season peter out, but we aren't in that situation, as things stand we are in a battle for CL qualification and failing to act could have a massive effect on players we can bring in in the summer and the next season and beyond.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'm sure the players will have to motivate themselves if they don't fancy Thursday/Sunday matches next year regardless of who the manager is next year!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

We might not have to worry about that, as things stand you need to finish in the top 7 to make Europe at all next season (it's likely to be more than that depending on who wins the Cup and other factors), but we are currently only 3 points ahead of Everton in 8th and 6 points ahead of Sunderland in 11th, with our abysmal form and some difficult fixtures to play I don't think we can take European football next season for granted...

I had this idea that some of the aways could be really long journeys and could hamper the league but this season there was a couple of Irish teams, Iceland, Gibraltar, Malta and Cyprus.

As dire as things have been, 3rd place is still on with six matches left. If anyone was looking for some glass half full comments.

I was thinking the same after the united loss tonight. We still have to play Utd and Villa. If we can beat them, we have a chance of 3rd place.
We are here for a good time not a long time....

Chelsea play Man Utd at the weekend if we can beat Everton (big if) as well a draw in that would see us 1point behind Man Utd and 6 ahead of Chelsea. (A Chelsea win would be better for our 3rd place chances but a draw might give a bit of space behind us)

Villa look like they have a decent chance to win the Europa and if either us or the Arse win the CL then we’ll have 7 places in next year’s?

We are 5th, we play 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th in our run in…….. not easy but certainly things are in our hands. Given how we’ve played I’ve zero confidence in coming third and more worried about Everton and Brentford passing us
