Thanjk you.

We faded after 29 mins when we scored second goal.
Dont think it's fatigue alone.
Yeah we've developed a bad habit of switching off and trying to coast through games when we think its won.

"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey
I think there is a definate drop in intensity and decrease in pressing etc when we go a couple of goals up, not sure if this is part of the game plan to save energy, or whether it is complacency or sloppiness
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
I'm seeing alot of talk from other teams fans about the booking for Dewsbury Hall for taking the freekick too quickly, and how strange it was. Now as I understand it the referee is perfectly entitled to tell the players to wait for the whistle, there was a suggestion in the game that he had done it earlier as well and was warned about it, so while in isolation it looks an odd one, if he has been told twice by the ref to wait for the whistle and on both occasions he hasn't then a booking seems fair, but this is a context now being removed to suit a narrative

Of all the misjustices on a football pitch because of bad officiating, it's a bit of an odd one to get worked up about. It had zero impact on the result and likely will have zero impact on Everton's season.
I can't imagine too many Fulham fans shedding any tears over this.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Probably a bit of everything. Becoming complacent at 2-0 isn't unique to us, that's where the 'dangerous scoreline' cliche comes from, players know they don't need to score again to win the game and likewise, know it's not the end of the world if they concede, so intensity levels can drop. Coupled with the fact that because it's happening regularly with us at the minute, opposition teams who might otherwise have accepted their fate are thinking they can still get something and their levels go up. Obviously psychology is huge in football, it's why we are getting so many late goals, so hopefully we address this issue ASAP and stop giving our opposition any encouragement.

Nursing my hangover, great 3 points. First was outstanding, second half not so much. Whether it was tiredness or complacency we really struggled... imo a bit of both. Not wanting to get pummeled but did we looked more free flowing without Wirtz?

I thought Kerkez and Grav were fantastic
The balance of the team was much better with last year’s midfield because they all know their role in the side. When Gakpo went off and Wirtz went left I thought we’d see how it could be but again he seems to not be aware of the speed, intensity and aggression of the PL. He was caught on the ball a few times which was frustrating.
I think this will take longer than I thought tbh, I thought he’d hit the ground running. Might be a Fabinho and Robbo type integration period needed as opposed to Salah
The talent is there, we know that but he needs to get to grips with the pace and physicality of the league

I missed the second half.
But by all accounts we were a bit leggy. There was lots to love in that first half and if we can put together a 90 min performance we will be some machine. All of the problems seen good ones? The options we have are incredible.
Either a draw or a City win will be great today. We then have Palace away and can rest a few and give others minutes. Then Palace a day ahead of Arsenal going to Newcastle. There is pressure on Arsenal to get wins already.

It was until we went two up. And then that efficient midfield couldn't keep the ball anymore for whatever reason.
It wasn't a game of two halves, it was a game of two goals and had little to do with individuals.

Yeah it is an odd one, people using it as a proof that PGMOL are biased towards us is an odd one, maybe if it were one of 2 yellows he got complaints would be justified.
Similarly the comparisons of time added cross different games, Everton were losing for the whole 2nd half so there was no time wasting, there were no injuries or VAR checks, just subs which only stopped play 3 times to make all changes

Moyes made a big thing about only having 3 mins of added time but, on the radio coverage, it seemed like he played on well after that. What was the exact time at the final whistle?
