He's been playing well enough to earn a recall into the Brazillian squad, but then again what do they know about football.

There have been times when that is true but I think as id often the case people are basing judgments disproportionately on our last game. I think a combination of things are not helping at the minute (including the formation used and personnel in the wingback positions within that formation). We have had games this season where the midfield has looked very solid and times when it has also looked pretty fluid and capable of providing an attacking platform.

I do agree that we need another CM to help out. I just think that it is more a problem of getting the right blend and tactics and possibly also of allowing us to rest Gerrard so we can get the best out of him.

wouldn't disagree with any of that & definitely need another CM in January.

Lucas is always going to do a fantastic job against the lesser teams in the Premier League. The far too short lived days of him bossing Yaya Toure are gone - thanks for that Carling ****ing Cup - but he's still a massively important squad member and better than most players in the league he'll come up against. Its only against the elite he'll come up short.

Amazingly that video is quite revealing as to each players style of football, Lucas...relaxed, whether it be hooking ducks off a shelf; or swinging a putter.

While Henderson, is like someone with a plank stuck down their back and trousers, stiff as board and unable to even hook one measley duck!

He's great at getting balls to jump out of buckets though eh.

Our training schedule at melwood should incorporate some of these some show things to help asess man strength. It would be great if we could also see if weany potential signings can hook a duck.

We need to do the same thing to the midfield that we done to the defence in the summer. Keep the current lot and add more quality.

I agree, I'm not sure we need that much extra in midfield but one real top class player there would make a huge difference imo.

Not easy to land but we really need to try and get that bit extra quality in.
