He could before Rafa bored all the skill out of him
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

It will be very, very difficult for him to get his place back.

He is behind everyone now in the packing order.

He'll be a bench warmer for a while but he will be very valuable in the cups and CL

I'd expect him to lose out - Allen is a better option for playing ahead of Gerrard than Lucas.

Made up to see him taking part in this great great season again.

Saw him leaning against the wall in the tunnel last game at home, and he looked a bit left out.

Fantastic for him to slot in so sweetly too, playing well and making the right impact on the game, the job he was asked to do.

He is a fantastic professional & as Stevie said, slotted in like he'd never been away. Helped turn the game in our favour, very solid and good at keeping the play going.

                        Stevie -

"Lucas deserves a special mention," the captain told Liverpoolfc.com from the tunnel at Upton Park.

"I think there was a lot of pressure on him today - the Brazil coach was here to watch him. He hasn't played much of late, but he's come back and worked his socks off to get fit.

"The ball he played for the second goal - people have been raving about Coutinho all year and the passes he has made - but for me, that was right up there with Brazil's best. I think that helped us go on and get the win.

"So it's great credit to Lucas and I think it shows that in this squad now we have a bit of everything - a bit of class, a bit of skill in Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and Coutinho. But we've also got some steel. We have lads here who want to roll their sleeves up and dig in. That's what we did today."
"I will make the boys feel your support"

He looked quite sprightly too I thought.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Kept meaning to add yesterday that he didn't get enough praise for that through ball. Not bad for someone who only ever passes backwards etc.

Done very well and it was nice to see him making some forward runs!

It was a great ball at a time when we were struggling to break them down (even if MOTD 2 said it was Henderson ). Plus he looked good in general play. The fact he could slot into that position so easily just shows what an intelligent player he is and how useful it is to have him back for the run in.
