I wrote a long post when this was mentioned in the youth thread, but I lost it.
But I wonder if Lucas will adapt his game when he comes back to play a more expansive style, more suited to the role Gerrard is playing or if he’ll stick to his familiar game. I wonder if Rodgers will even play him in the deeper role or in one of the more advanced roles, which he probably won’t have the legs for.
Be interesting to see. I think he is capable of adjusting his game (again), but equally Rodgers mightn’t want him to and will instead use him in games when he thinks we’re better suited to keeping possession than quick counter attacking.
Either way, will be good to have him back for the run in.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?Comment

He has been playing in Gerrard's position for as far as I remember, so I don't think he'll need to adjust his game at all. He'll just slot in.Are we winning?Comment

Yes, but his main objective was to win the ball and keep posession, Gerrard is our deep lying playmaker and has been responsible for a lot of our goals recently.
Lucas was actually playing ahead of Gerrard before he got injured.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?Comment
