One of the best midfield performances I've seen at Anfield in recent years and I don't think thats overstating it, he was simply fantastic.

Not a dig at him in any way at all, but nice to see him looking to play the ball forwards when he can nowadays. A positive change in his game.

I think his passing is still underrated. Has a nice zip to it, picks the right pass more often than not. Helps our tempo.
