He's turned it around completely. Can't really believe my own eyes, but he's starting to look the player he was before his injury. Two horrible injuries and a scapegoat for the fans twice over - he's mentally unbreakable. And he loves LFC. Deserves some sort of recognition from the club (preferably in the form of a new contract).

Absolutely damn right. He's taken fearsome stick, and never deserved IMO. First time round I just thought he was better than most seemed to, and didn't deserve the stick. Second time round he was clearly waning but in view of his immense service and effort I didn't think he deserved such vitriol (despite the fact I'd pretty much waved the white flag on him).Originally posted by Daffy Duck View PostHe's turned it around completely. I think when you consider what he's been up against - massive fan apathy, criticism even, and two terrible injuries - he's been an absolute inspiration. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I'm happy to stick my hand up and say I was wrong. I thought that he ruined by injuries and would be incapable of performing anything more than a bit part role. He's been superb lately, again today. I thought he was a little lucky as on another day he could've picked up another yellow, but he played the roll excellently. Really hope he can maintain this level, been a breath of fresh air.
I've always liked him and thought he was a good guy, but I'm happy that he's producing on the pitch now too.

Lucas Leiva will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the groin injury that forced him out of the Merseyside derby after just 16 minutes on Saturday evening.
The Brazilian pulled up in the opening exchanges of Liverpool's clash with Everton at Goodison Park and was replaced by Joe Allen.
Brendan Rodgers confirmed it was a reccurrence of the problem that had kept Lucas out of the trip to Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday.
"We'll just have to assess it," the manager told his post-match press conference.
"He had a slight problem with his adductor - that's why he missed the last game [at Bolton].
"He felt it again there, so we'll see what the scan says on that."
