I don't think we need to buy anyone. We have players in the squad who can play in there that deserve the opportunity that injuries throw up.

Henderson and Spearing are two candiates.

Could make a case for Gerrard too depending on the opposition.

Hope it isn't true though, Lucas is becoming emence.

He's back in January but I cannot see him be an answer to our prayers if we lose Lucas for some time.

Not in the same role as Lucas, no. But he's another body in CM and frees Gerrard to play as a holding midfielder if need be, in place of Lucas.

We've got Spearing to do a job too and Adam, plus we just need to get through to January, it's only one month.

That holding position was probably the only real weak point in the squad behind Lucas. Spearing/Hendo will have to fill it for now but we'll need to invest now to find a quality replacement in his absence :-(

Sickener if true. Absolutely gutting, was playing some sensational football. Guess the only positive is we play **** teams till January and they're the teams we and he have been less effective against. But even still, a new lad has to settle in etc then we'll likely have 3 games v Man City in January alone.
