They will improve, aye. Pochettino is good.

Sure they were a couple of points better off but that level of investment demands greater improvement than just a couple of points. A lot of their signings have - so far - totally failed.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Spurs, Arsenal and Man Utd will improve. We're losing Suarez and have a lot of new players to come in, which puts our progress slightly at risk.
        Are we winning?

How many regular starters did we have last year? Can't have been more than 14 or 15? I would have kept all of them and looked to add to the squad rather than replace them.

I understand selling Suarez demands we splash the cash a bit, but it doesn't demand tearing up the current squad. Too many new faces NEVER works.

It's all a bit strange. I think it's because Rodgers does seem to like small squads, so he's going for quality or players he rates now.

I feel sadder about Lucas leaving than I do about Suarez leaving.

Me too, although the loss of Suarez will be felt a tad more on the field

When i think about how BR singled out Shelvey and Lucas for praise at the start, Shelvey would go on to be a big star, and Lucas was the proffessional every player should try and emulate.

                  Sterling got caned!

We just need two or three extra points as well Granted we probably lost some through Luis, but I read somewhere that Sturridge's goals had won us more points than Luis'.
                    * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

                      Don't forget about Morgan.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He has experience, he's a very popular member if the squad, Gerrard is not going to play every game and we're always one injury/suspension away from lacking options down the mid. Can may or may not settle into our midfield, but it's clear that Rodgers values energy in the midfield, Gerrard QB position aside, so Lucas' type isn't the goto midfielder that Brendan wants.

He's struggled to regain the form post-injury, but it's always hard to fit back in mid season, especially given the cavalier form our team had adopted last season. Preseason may have given him that opportunity.
Unless it's an offer too good to turn down, as Lucas wouldn't be skint in wages, it's a sale that warrants caution.
Maybe he doesn't want to be a bit part player and thinks he can play more elsewehre?

personally i'd keep lucas too - he's dropped down the pecking order but he offers experience and decent cover

we 'lacked' strength in depth in cm and arguably needed two players - we signed can and lallana - so sorted, selling lucas would just leave us one player light again

for me - especially with champions league games - you want two good players per position.....we usually look to have a 3 man midfield, so i'd expect our first choice to be

                          gerrard
                          henderson
                          lallana

                          with cover/competition from can/lucas/allen

i think that would be pretty solid. They would all get plenty of games and all give us a different type of option.

unless there is a plan to sign another good centre mid then i'd be pretty pleased with that next season.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

We won 7 of the 10 games Luis missed on his last ban. I think we'll do well, we might be less exciting to watch though.

We weren't very convincing in those games. Most of them were 1-0 affairs where we spent most of the second half sitting deep and hanging on.
