Terrible news, but we have options in there and time for others to step as Lucas himself has done.
All the best on the road to recovery Lucas.*************************

Ha ha ha, someone must have spiked my drink.Originally posted by Reece View PostThere is no World Cup next summer. I really hope Lucas won't be out for 3 1/2 years!
And it's 2 1/2 years, no?
In your face Baldy!!!

I think Jay is good option and we will have to rely on him until January no matter what.Originally posted by Darkon View PostI agree with need better for a regular starter, but I think he can do the job now that Lucas is out, and I actually have confidence in him growing with the task. He has never really gotten the chance for a good run of games, so he might have more in him.
That said we are in serious trouble if he should injured as well, so we could use a loan option in January.
It will be a good test for him but personally beyond January I'd keep and use him as we did before Lucas injury.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

I think he deserves a chance. I've read numerous posts claiming that no one can tackle as good as Lucas and we can't rely on anyone else, but the same was said about Lucas too a year or two ago.Originally posted by Mostar View PostI think Jay is good option and we will have to rely on him until January no matter what.

I don't think Jay (or anyone we can buy) is as good as Lucas, but I also don't think he'll let us down either. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
