He finished the game and his tweet tonight seems full of positivity - i dont think he's injured in any real way.

did the xabi alonso thing where he went off on a surging but slow fruitless run, waited for someone to look to have a swing at the ball and then stepped in front of it to draw the foul when we were in danger of losing our possession game and needed top slow things down. remember when we were really good, and players got sent off playing xabi all the time? maybe it will be like that this year.dave of mutilation

I dare say 15 months ago he would actually have had a lot of Red support.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostHenry Winter just 15 months ago: "Lucas or Murphy?"

Although he gets a bit of stick on here, I have to say that Wilkins was the first non-LFC media type I've noticed to give Lucas a bit of credit. Very rarely have I ever seen Lucas get the plaudits he deserves on Sky or in the papers, but Wilkins is usually the one who highlights his importance to the team.
Lucas.

I think some Journo’s have their rating marked before the game and still submit them regardless of the performance.
I remember one match when Lucas was our best player and Gerrard was shocking. Lucas got a 4 and Gerrard 8, with the writer going on to say how Gerrard typically had to carry Brazilian Lucas and one of our other foreign players who were labelled by their Nationality.
I also remember after a game which we won by 4 or 5, bar one 7, all our players were rated 6 or below. The other team which we spanked even got a few 7’s.

As much as I always felt Lucas got too much of a hard time in the past, and hoped he would do well at Anfield I never ever thought he would turn into the type of player we are seeing today. Along with Reina and Suarez one of our only guaranteed starters, every game.
He is simply awesome just now, and hasn't put a foot wrong for over a year.Modifying post.

The comment on we now have 7 points and it took 9 games to acheive that total last year just puts everything into perspective. Thank **** we do not have to endure the bodge any more!

Well said. I'll bet you never thought you'd be saying that a couple of years ago. You weren't his biggest fan.Originally posted by danperkins View PostLucas was ace again, incredible improvement and progression since joining LFC. Has matured into a role that suits his attributes down to the ground and is a rock in our midfield. Definite starter every game.Modifying post.
