Henderson plays a different role than Lucas and should continue to play that role, also Spearing is more attack minded but could mold into the role easier than Henderson.

My only point was, taking into account Glen is defense minded, he might slot straight in...

Seems odd, I know, but if the club can help it they would try to wait until they can get a scan at the usual place so the radiologist they are used to using can request the right sequences they like to use to report the scan themselves.

Not sure how much I'd like Henderson to do it, he has a great engine and is good at pressing but his tackling is poor. If I'm honest there is nobody else in the squad I particularly trust in that role. Spearing is probably our best bet, he has a good mix of qualities for it and for me it's really a question of whether he can prove he understands what's required to play the role well.

Really gutted for Lucas, particularly as I have had 3 ACL reconstructions myself. Ruptured ACLs are shocking injuries and really tough to come back from (look at Essien). I hope he hasn't got too much cartilage damage too. Massive blow for the lad and lets hope his recovery goes well.

Well I would have said that GJ is attack minded and Jay is more defensive.

I think Henderson could do the job beside CA, until Stevie is back of course. Could maybe even suit Stevie to play a bit more defensive for a few months to get his sharpness back.

I still think Spearing will get a lot of games in December, and this is his big chance of a break through with us. He have waited in the reserves plenty without any complaint, played well when getting the chance so he deserves a shot at the role.

Cover for Spearing could be moving Henderson back there, or if moving anyone out of position as suggested I'd move Carragher up in DM before any of our backs. Reckon Agger could do quite well there considering his skill on the ball as well, but he is just to good in CD to be moved IMO.

Yup, time for Spearing to shine now as he's the only CM in our squad now who can do a good job shielding the back four. Shelvey, Henderson and Gerrard (when he's back) are all attack-minded. I can't really see anyone else in our squad being able to fill such a role. Well, nobody stands out anyway.
