Our best midfielder this season. Crazy to sell him.

If this is true it is idiotic.

Selling him in Jan would be a disaster and I didn't think I'd be saying that in August when I thought injuries had got the better of him. Without being amazing, he's been good and has helped stem some of the many holes in our defense.

If he goes then we must replace him, but not with **** like Delph. Might as well keep Lucas if we're just going to sign bang average players like that.

This can't be just for money. £4 million? We could get that for Joe Allen. This is even worse if he doesn't want to go.

Clearly this is an indication of how (little) Rodgers views Lucas' contribution and worth to the team.

If this is the case you would have to worry about what Rodgers knows about the defensive side of the game.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

@Jay_78_ Looks like you're right. It seems that Lucas is on his way to Inter.

If lucas is off then we must have a replacement lined up and it better be someone who is not one for the future.

Delph? Milner? Not as good as Lucas as a DM.

It's an educated guess only! Based on what's been said by „Kent Brockman” on another forum.

He definitely needs replacing, he's not a player we can rely on fitness wise and his form has been up and down over the past year. If we bring someone decent in, then fair enough, if not then we're going to be even more exposed at the back than before. If Can steps forward, which I think he can , then we're short in the back four and reliant on the clowns staying fit, or bringing in a new CB.

Anyway, we can't look at any deals in isolation, it's about the whole window. Which will probably be a **** one in reality, unless the owners make a move for Gerrard#2 now.

The timing is very strange. He gets back in the team and we have looked better and then we move him on? I could understand the thinking if he wasn't playing. Definitely get rid in the summer but now is pretty mental. oh well, what will be will be.
