Could be that as well. Shame either way as he's been a good servant to the club.

That's it, I'm done. What the hell is the point of letting our most senior player go on loan. So flipping frustratingOriginally posted by Lee View Post

He's 28 now and has missed chunks of football over the last four seasons. Surely he wants to play and there's no point of him hanging around if he's hardly ever going to make the 18-man squad.
It's a shame as I think he's worth at least a place in the matchday squad, but Rodgers obviously has his reasons.

And of course, Joe isn't far off being next out the door if Rodgers has statistiscal concerns about availability, as we surmise with Sakho and Lucas..................but didn't Joe only get a new contract in the summerOriginally posted by BubbaZanetti View PostIt's all part of Rodgers evil masterplan - he won't stop until Joe Allen is our longest serving player
(or at least in talks for one)

Possible loan fee, savings on his high wages and lets the guy play. It is madness though.Originally posted by RichC View PostSelling him is one thing and not one I think we should be doing, i could understand it if we really don't fancy him anymore but a loan move would be utter madness.
I fail to see what benefit to us would loaning him out bring?

This makes no sense. Rodgers is making some ridiculous decisions regarding players that we fans do not understand. Lucas may not be first choice at the moment but if he wants to stay he will bring something that other players don't
