It's going to be a really tough game. We have a lot of new players that are still finding their feet & now the captain is injured, just hoping Arsenal haven't clicked into gear yet. A draw would be a great result. Lucas should start but there is no way he is match fit, but we have to play him.

Looks like Lucas, Can and Milner for Monday. Hopefully Cans fitness levels are nearly there because they are going to have to graft for the full 90 minutes.

i like that, as much as i would prefer ibe in the wings role, i prefer we start with that, gives us much mobility and pressing in the fwd part of the field with ings, press and once they start to tire, bring on the irk of ibe and finish em off... i hope...

Would be a smart move, maybe play a 433 and have Lucas babysitting the Centre-backs.

    Clyne -- Skrtel -- Lovren -- Gomez
    --------------Lucas------------------

    Coutinho------------------------Ibe

not sure if Henderson is fit or not, if not Can starts. Coutinho on the wing isn't ideal so we could swap Ibe for Ings

I'm not sure it is as clear cut as that - my feeling is that it depends a lot on who else is in the team. I think Lucas could be ace holding beside a slightly more advanced Milner (we seem to have different formations in many ways when pressing and going forwards). Problem is we need greater recovery pace to compensate for Lovrens tendency to leave gaps between himself and Skrtel (to a degree an issue with Sakho too, I still think in part it is a Sktrel based issue of communication + being too deep).

If the players on the periphery aren't shining in training they make Brendan's job easier with regards to the need to rotate.

I think Rodgers has rather shown a tendency to make few changes unless forced.

And its not the same as saying its obvious, though its obvious to me

I'm fairly sure I said I was concerned about it. That's a bit kneejerk from you.
