I dont think he has the quality we need, and as an old head, he is too clumsy or sloppy to be the man you bring on for the last 20 minutes to shore things up... and certainly not as a centreback

I think I would rather have his place in the team went to either a promising youngster or a "wise old head" in the McAllister vein.

Magnificent servant to the club - came in for massive criticism when he first signed but stuck at it and earned everyone's respect. Have no doubt in my mind had he not got injured when he did he would've gone on to be one of the best defensive midfielders in the world.

Can still do a job, as has been proven this season and will be an asset for whoever he moves to next.

I'd like him to stay personally.

A few of the reports in the past when he was tipped to go were always about Lucas wanting game time, which he isn't going to get here. He'd be great to have around as a back-up, to beef up the squad size, but he's only 30.

He'd be an absolute bargain for Rafa and Newcastle.
