Absolutely class today. Dominated the midfield, and you could see that every player in our team had faith in him. It was Alonso like the way he was the starting point for every move, and the player every player looked for when in trouble. Perfect passing, tackling and work rate - inspirational performance from him, fair play. He's made that defensive midfield role his own now.

Be nice to see a trio of Lucas, Gerrard and Adam playing together in the middle.

I would too. The unsung hero in our team. It really pisses me off when I hear people saying he is ****. He'd be my number one name on the teamsheet. Praise to Rafa for always sticking up for him and knowing the player he was capable of being.
