What a game he had today, one of the best he has had in a Liverpool shirt, he really now is one of, or if not our most key player in the team. cant get enough of Lucas. Lets hope he carries it on into the Fulham game.

So is every player at that age. And of the promising ones, whether they actually develop in to top players is almost impossible to predict with real confidence (look how many Liverpool get through).

So basically, anyone saying they always knew he would develop like he has thinks they've been proven right by events, but they ignore how many similar feelings about young players that they've got wrong. Lucky guess.

He's always had a good touch and very sound technique; the only reservations centred on whether he'd be able to adapt to: a) the pace and physical nature of the Premier League; and b) a defensive midfield postition (assuming that is where management were always going to persist).

Claims that Lucas was a "**** footballer" etc were always wide of the mark.

We had one of those idiots in the pub today. One of these people who wants to be everyone's mate, the funniest guy, the loudest chap and knows everything about everything.

Soppy bollocks leaned over to me today and said something like "Not very good that Lucas, but he's doing okay today". I just said to him that he obviously doesn't watch LFC that often.
