He has been this season but it's hard to be critical of the kid with the amount of pressure that has been put on his shoulders this season. Anyways he's looked excellent the last two games.. hopefully this form continues & he can start to add some goals to his game.

Just tweeted that his ankle is in bits but was deleted...after people had screenshot it though

he was getting slammed everywhere last night. brendan should take some picture of his ankles and show them to shame this ref and others.

True, but he also went down far too easy early on which may have influenced the referees mind for the rest of the game.

Still wasn't protected enough. A ref should not only be spotting when a player is going down too easy (which he wasn't IMO) but also when a team have decided to target a man.

He was clearly targeted and the ref didn't have a clue. Mason really is a bad ref, not corrupt, just lacking any ability whatsoever.

Sterling got an awful time last night & ref gave him nothing. Was at least 5 or 6 clear fouls & some ****ty tackles made on him. Was superb last night & been so much better in the last 3 games.

Some of the decisions Mason made last night were outright laughable, I can't remember as poor a performance... since the last one of his. **** ref.

Sterling has looked much better in the last few games, however I do think his decision making and composure need to improve significantly if he is to become a truly top quality player. For his sake we also really do need to get players of the appropriate stature around him (like we did last season) to keep him developing consistently in the right direction, having to answer to Suarez and Sturridge was a big benefit to him imo.

Sterling turns 20 in 5 days, and whether people admit it or not, the onus is on him to produce almost every game in the absence of Sturridge (and Suarez). He's doing fine by me. The pressure must be massive on him.

Getting on a bit, isn't he.

As daft as it sounds I thought he was brilliant last night, worked really hard all game. Wanted the ball all day and take people on.

Shocking the amount of times he was tackled and by that I mean unfairly, clearly targetted. He did let himself down a few times by grabbing the ball early which he obviously shouldn't be doing but he was excellent I felt.

If that was the case then the ref would be a dumbass and not fit to preside over a football game at any level!

                        Oh! hang on.....

The way people go on about him on here they expect a 19year old to produce outstanding performances every game. It is Est after all, so I'd expect nothing less.

14 games 3 goals 4 assists. A 19 year old playing in an underperforming side those are good statistics.

Not good enough. Not PL standard.

I thought Vardy played just as well.
