He should be in and around the first team squad for the rest of the season, if Bellamy is fit I would be tempted to drop Sterling out of the matchday squad every now and again to give him a break but apart from that include him in the 18-19 that the final squad is selected from every week.
There should always be room for someone like Sterling amongst 7 subs, if the situation allows then we can bring him on for 10-15 minutes here and there, if not then he is still learning and getting used to the pressure

He and Suso and Cody and Amoo really need to start getting chances to experience first team football and prove they can compete at premier league level... which is ironic because some of our established player cant!

Nothing to play for in the league no so this is perfect time to give them 20 mins here and there.

It seems to me he kicked up a fuss about not feeling like he was making any progess, hence the rumours of the move to Spurs surfacing. So then Kenny appeased him by giving him a massive 6 minute run out in the first team (where I think he did pretty well), and now the young lad has had his 6 minutes of glory he can keep his mouth shut again and settle for being bombed back out to the reserves again for the rest of the season. It stinks

When that game was slipping away from us yesterday we needed to bring on someone capable of making something happen. He might only be an untested kid but I would have had far more faith in bringing him on at 2-0 yesterday and getting a goal than I had when Henderson and Downing came on

We don't know whats going on behind the scenes (medical recommendations, youth priorities, etc) but it could just be a case of Raheem beginning to wind Kenny up the wrong way with his threats. If so this could become messy.

We have 7 subs,is there really any good reason not to give 2 of those spots to youth players,give them some experience of the whole match day malarkey and gives you the chance to throw them on if the game allows it.

it was just done to bring us in line with UEFA standards.

Now its used to keep underachieving squad players a tad happier then they would be if they were sat in the stands
