Neither did he. He had an excellent goal return in Rafa's last season but his overall game had clearly dipped, he was then medicore under Hodgson and is now hapless at Chelsea. He's been on a downward slope for a long while.Originally posted by ElRabiosa View Postplayers don't turn **** overnight.
He's been playing for 10 years and had some injuries, its understandable really and we are well rid.

Like Carroll?Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postif you weigh up taking a chance on a has been that might find some form before he retires, or a young player who's in form now, and has another 10 years at the top in front of him, why would you choose the older player who is playing like bobbins?

Everyone was mediocre under Hodgson, and Torres still got 9 in 23 which is decent when you think of how **** we was doingOriginally posted by Chris View PostNeither did he. He is a moody player, and needs shipping back to Spain and while I have no way of knowing it, I don't think it's enterily unlikely that quite a few players in our squad don't want him back because of the same reasons.
I have moved on long ago with Torres, and I have happily accepted that we sold a player at the right time and for twice what we paid for him
In general we just need to move on, get a proper striker and we will soon have forgotten all about him.
Agreed, not sure what his return would do to the dressing room.
And if we weren't successful but he finds his form will he move on again if someone comes in for him?
Surely he's going back to spain.
I couldn't take the bull**** he would come out with to be honest. 'I never wanted to leave'. blah blah...
