When dust settles after he retires and when he comes out and publicly acknowledges that his biggest football career mistake was to leave LFC I think people will put him in that category or close.

He was unstoppable and the best striker in the world especially in the first couple years and the only drawback is that he hasn't played long enough for LFC as others in that category.

No chance he's a legend, would have been but wasnt here long enough and won **** all, the latter is hardly his fault as he's just one player but he defo doesnt reach legend status.

I'd have Torres back any day of the week, sometimes in life one needs to acknowledge mistakes, learn from them and move on from there. We resigned Bellamy. We resigned Aurelio. We resigned Rush. We might have resigned Owen. We can resign Torres.

Sometimes there are higher relationships at work, which we mere mortals have little influence over. It's a given he'd start banging them in like **** for us, taking pressure off Suarez who in turn would start smashing them in like **** for us. You can guarantee that, two genii at work, it'd be spell-binding. I think it would even benefit Carroll. It'd benefit everyone. And the fans would start worshipping him when he repays the faith by smashing in unbelievable volleys from far outside the D.

        Great post mate.

I know they left under completely different circumstances but the parallel whilst they were away from Anfield is there. How did Rush do when he came back? Not bad IIRC. Maybe not as well as hist first stint but got goals nonetheless and was invaluable in the development of Robbie Fowler as well.

If Torres is available and wants to come 'home' lets do it.
          No he wasnt

He scored 7 in 29 and this was when he was sufferring from Hepatitus and besides which Juve were reluctant to sell but for the fact that Rush had the illness and was dreadfully homesick

The major difference is Torres was MASSIVELY reliant on pace, his pace over the first couple of yards was what made him very difficult to play against

Thats gone now and it is NEVER coming back

£50m for him was around at least £30m more then what he was worth, he's now worth even less. I can't believe anyone wants to bail Chelsea out.

Completely finished as a drawer player. Thankfully Kenny should have more pride for the club then the lovesick fools asking to take him back.

I'd rather Torres snapped his leg in December then see him back sulking around Anfield again next year.

"Lovesick fools" - is there really any need for such arrogant ****tishness?

Why the need to be so aggressive about this?

Or has some respect for LFC. That cunt will never wear a Liverpool top again. Some need to dry their eyes and try supporting the players that will do.

We are a new team now, new manager, new owners and new players. Torres is not a guarantee of goals anymore and Rafa Benitez is no longer here. 20m for Torres is too much of a gamble. We need to move on and rebuild. For 20m we could have a striker that could offer more than Torres atm. Don't want him back, we don't need him.

I think we do, or atleast a proven goalscorer.

Cant speak for everyone else, but it's not just about him being a cunt, he's actually ****. That's why we shouldnt sign him. As for Tevez, he's quality and in all his time, where he's caused trouble, it hasnt happened for the first year or two. I've been advocating taking him on loan, not permanent.

As for Bellamy, Aurelio, Rush etc - we re-signed them but they didnt leave us and act the cunt in doing so. Neither were they ****e after we'd sold them. Re Owen - we 'might' have re-signed him but we didnt, thankfully.

And given how ****e Torres now is, it's anything but a 'given' that he'd 'start smashing them in like **** for us'. Quite the opposite, in fact.
