He must punch himself in the head before going to sleep every night. What a waste of talent. It must be really **** to go from being idolised every week by forty thousand supporters to being sat on the bench for a nothing club like Chelsea.

He's coming back...There's too much going through the press in an attempt to soften Craig_H up for him returning

Fernando Torres has lifted the lid on his acrimonious departure from Liverpool, claiming the club lied to him and that Liverpool’s American owners made false promises.
The Chelsea striker says he was let down by the Fenway Sports Group before his acrimonious £50million transfer to Stamford Bridge in January.
‘The Liverpool fans don’t know the truth about why I signed for Chelsea,’ the 27-year-old, who spent three-and-a-half seasons at Anfield, told Spanish television.
‘The fans don’t even know half of what happened. They don’t know what the people in charge at Liverpool are like - they have a completely different perception of what they are like.

They made promises that they didn’t keep and I left because I realized I didn’t have time to be part of a project that would take years.’
The former Kop idol, who netted 81 times in 142 Liverpool appearances, also attempted to build bridges with the Anfield faithful.
‘I have nothing against the Liverpool fans,’ he said. ‘I didn’t want to leave Liverpool the way I did but the club lied. I was let down and I don’t understand why the fans hate me.’

Making their point: Liverpool fans vent their fury at their former idol
And while he has scored just five times in 35 Chelsea appearances, Torres is backing himself to rediscover his goalscoring touch for the Blues and Spain.
‘It’s true that Vicente Del Bosque is worried about me and my form for Chelsea. It’s up to me to go back to being the striker I was before.
‘If I go back to how I was a few years ago, I will again play an important role in the Spanish national team.’
‘I am going to try to be very humble and get back into the Chelsea starting line-up,' said Torres, who has seen chances limited thanks to the resurgence of Didier Drogba.

Sidelined: Torres has seen first-team opportunities limited at Stamford Bridge
He also spoke of the pain of being on the Chelsea bench – but says he should be shown more respect given his achievements in the game.
‘My form has not been good but I am world and European champion and I deserve more respect,’ he said.
‘It’s hard being on the bench but I respect the players who are playing. I’m going to support the team and get back in,’ he said.

Fine, G&H obviously lied. But FSG? I doubt he means they lied so why not give them a chance? Or was he worried about them turning out to be bad owners too?

That's all you need to know. How the mighty have fallen... he knows it too!!! He ****ing knows he ****ed up big time, otherwise why the **** would he be talking about it, justifying it!

[Regarding the bit in bold: That's probably why Stevie and him fell out with each other. Stevie took the time, Torres jumped ship and gave Stevie and us no chance. I think they were proper 'in love' and then the relationship got destroyed, and once that happens it's ****ing well hard to go back to the way things were and I also believe that's why he won't come back]

I think Torres was genuinely hurt by the empty promises made by the man, but once FSG took over he really should have stayed a little longer to see how they operated.

There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever after reading that article that he noe regrest his move & will be off asap however I think, unfortunately as id take him back, that there are too many bridges burnt for him to come back here now.

Its a real shame how the Torres saga played out as he was for a long time my favourite LFC player since the glory days & would have gone on to become my favourite ever LFC player, im sure of that because **** he was good for us.

Totally agree with every word. Had he stayed... and he knows it. We know it. Everyone knows it. But sometimes one little decision in life has such consequences and at the end, you can talk all you want, but deep inside, you can't kid yourself. It's a real shame, but as my Yorkshire mate from Bridlington always says: "That's just the way the cookie crumbles, ma'e".

Going to them is no "little decision" in my book its a ****ing whoppa. It was all about him as he states in the article and he chose the wrong club because they need to spend some serious cash.
You made your own bed Torres, now kindly get in it and shut your ****ing gob we don't want to hear it.

odd story. definitely sounds like some **** someone would say about g&h, but it seems to be implying he is talking about fsg here. that's very odd i wonder what they could have possibly lied to him about in october that made him want to leave as they were negotiating a 20m pound deal for a world class forward to partner him. did he want someone else?
