It's demeaning to everyone. It's one thing when someone makes a joke like that to a mate in a pub, it's quite another when it's on public display and being used to make a profit. In a small way it makes the world a more unpleasant place.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I don't really bet so I'm not their target market but I'd switch my custom over this if I was with them.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

They got their publicity out of it, which was I imagine what they were after.

Bringing it back for a second round seems completely petty and unwarranted.

Any proper club's fans would stick up for their player and boycott PP.

The whole thing is sad from every angle.

                    They are.

And the photo clearly shows the van parked on the wrong side of the road facing a junction. I'm no expert but I reckon that is a motoring offence so if anyone wants to be as petty as them...

He was awesome. To be fair, for the right price, I'd bring him back.

I mean we have £35 million worth of Andy Carroll sitting on someone else's bench, and thats not a pop at Andy, but surely to god Fernando is still more of a threat.

If we could offload Carroll for a decent fee, and Chelsea don't want too much more for Fernando I'd be happy if that deal was arranged. I can't imagine we have been paid £50 million in full for Torres at any point, and that means we surely haven't paid £35 million for Carroll in full so I doub't we would lose too much if that makes any sense?

A struggling Fernando coming back to a club he loves/ed might put a bit of fire in his belly?

I always get the feeling that he would just do well if he came back! Plus the funny side of it if he did cos he was such a flop for chavski lol

Yeah, i do find it odd that PP should want to go head to head with Chelsea over something so trivial as an ad.

But maybe it's the fact Chelsea took them to court to have the first one removed, and they feel it's a freedom of speech issue ?

Yes it's a ****tish ad to do, not nice for Torres personally, but was taking them to court to have them remove it right ?

I don't think he will be the player he once was, I just think he would be a far better option than Carroll to bring off the bench, or even start.

And if the rumors of £15 million are being touted, and we can get rid of Andy for even half that figure, stumping the extra £7 million on top I wouldn't have a problem. And even better if Chelsea still owe us money for Torres.

As much as I loved Torres when he was here, there's no way I'd bring him back now, not because of the way he left or any of that, purely because he's lost 'it' he will never be close to what he was.

While he may be more of a threat than Carroll that is more of an indictment of Carroll than praise for Torres, IMO spending any money we got from selling Carroll to buy Torres would just be throwing good money after bad.

I see where you're coming from, but imagine someone put up a billboard outside you're place of work telling you how **** you were at your job and suggesting you change your career, im sure you wouldn't be best please

I think there's nothing wrong with using your right to a freedom of speech, but I think that speech has to be unoffensive too
