They also signed a player that was a similar type to what they had. Mandzukic wouldn't have been suitable either really.
    Forwards.......

Fairly sure that any (sensible) football fan would regard AM as 'home' for Torres.

        We were a mere affair.

And on completion of that, is supposed to be going on loan to Atletico Madrid.

A bit strange all of this.

Especially an Italian club coughing up a permanent deal.

You see his comments about leaving us? Said something like he joined Chelsea to win trophies and he achieved it so its not a failure. ******

To be fair, he could have stayed with us and been diabolical while winning nothing. Instead he was diabolical at Chelsea and won something. So fair comment. At the levels of ****ness he has maintained over the last 4 years he has to take all he can get.

I feel sorry for him. Never seen a decline so steep.

It was the greatest sale in LFC history - exactly how you'd want your star striker to perform after you'd sold him on. Timed perfectly. He knows he never hit the heights for Chelsea and was a peripheral player at best for them, so if he justifies "his" decision to leave and his relative unimportance on the trophies he's won, who can blame him? Liverpool were in as stinking a mess off the park as he has been on it.
