I don't like Torres. After he left us I lost all respect i had for him - but it is painful to see just how much he is struggling to do even the simplest of things when you consider how much he used to do.

It didn't matter how good you were, how good your form was or who you played for - when you played against Torres he would give you a huge problem for the full 90 minutes and that was a guarantee; now i think every defender fancies themselves in a battle with him.

He seems miles away from producing those brilliant moments never mind a brilliant match.

I was thinking the same when I was watching the match. If he did ever dive for us I can't remember it ever been as blatant as the two last night.
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

He is clearly learning well in a more 'professional' environment.

He did go down easily for us, frustratingly sometimes. Were no saints, look at Gerrard. He is as bad as some in the league.

But he seems to be doing it more now, perhaps there told, if you get tackled go down and stay there.

They probably shouldn't give him a gun though because he will miss the target.

I think the move has ****ed his head up.

Truly it was a sad sight. He tripped himself once and fell twice without anybody being in the close proximity. Even him was ashamed by those lame dives.

Couldn't give a **** about Torres. He's not one of us anymore.

I'm more interested in how Carroll and Suarez are maturing as a strike force.

yep - form and fitness aside which seems to have completley desert I think he was totally confused! - he obv wasn't happy here and wanted to leave for sometime - and who could blame - i wanted to leave during some points of the the last couple years under hicks gillette and hodgson - his one glimmer of light came in chelsea and he jumped at the chance without really thinking about the consequences

                        And now it's like ****!

I also think he's completley lost interest in the game - bare in mind he has been there and done it if you like - he's gone from being a promising talent and hero for his boyhood team atletico - to becoming a god and superstar for liverpool, and genuinely for a period was THE form player in the world for about a season or so - he became a national hero winning the European Championship for spain and then winning the world cup (not that he did much mind but he was there) and along the way he has become a multi millionaire

So where do you go....there is not much left other than club trophies - a league championship and european cup - but sadly not everyone gets to win them and there is not many teams around that compete for them....torres himself admitted that he couldn't go Utd, Arsenal and City weren't in for him, He'd never go real madrid, he's not good enough for barca - it only left Chelsea as a realsitic destination....there has been better players than torres who have won **** all and there has been worse players than torres who have won the lot

somewhere his heads got twisted and now he just looks like a lost boy - unhappy and fed up with football - he looks like to me, he wishes the world would just **** off, and leave him alone - i reckon right now he'd be happy to be playing back in spain at atletico, with the spotlight off him and he can just enjoy the last few years of his career.

Sadly though nando! you're stuck at chelsea with the rent boys, a £50m price tag that you will never live up to and nowhere to turn

The mirror posted some funny twitters during the game:

@MirrorFootball: After Saturday, UEFA apparently warned all tonight's players to be on best behaviour if they score. They didn't bother telling Torres

@Chicaned_UK: Why is Ancelloti playing Torres out of position? He much prefers to be sat on the bench

@clh1987: I've just realised; I've scored as many goals for Chelsea as fernando Torres....

@pau1w: I heard Torres pitched a new idea to the FA about goal-line technology, he's looking for an app to show him where it is.

@MirrorFootball: Ramires with a great chance for Chelsea but he makes a right Torres of his header
