lol - its the only thing we can take from last nights game - ****ter the mancs went through and i'd have much prefered a torres hat-trick and chelsea win but ****ing hell...Torres is a wreck - totally ineffective and subbed at half time - shocking decision to start him as well in such a big game - and that's it - chelsea season over - doesn't matter if he starts scoring now, they will be 'nothing' goals

Makes you think....we're things really that bad at liverpool! - they might have been bad and some dark times under roy and hicks/gillette but everyone in the world can see that cloud has been lifted....Meanwhile - imagine how torres must feel right now - quite possible his lowest point in his career - he could never have felt that bad for liverpool, because even when struggling for fitness, out of form and walking round the pitch with his head down not arsed, he still popped with the goals, and he still had 40000 fans singing his name.

Well - **** you torres - you sold your soul for a quick shot at a title and you have been left ****ed over - tough titties.

I think, he will be given one year at chelsea - he may even do ok and score 15-20 goals, but he'll never tear it up there like he did here and he'll end up back in spain - however i could also see a stint at Ac Milan in there somewhere- they seem to love signing marquee signings that have done **** all for a couple of years

Next season will be when people decide if we or the Chavs got the best deal.

I just hope we improve our team enough to give our strikers a fighting chance to show we did.

But obviously we have to make the most of this now.

There has to be something else with Torres.

He was scoring for us under Kenny. Not like he couldnt hit a barn door then. He must have his confidence shot to bits. Its sad really. I kind of pity him now. I want him to do well. Just not at Chelsea.

I reckon he's under the thumb from the Mrs and she wanted a move to London. He's playing with a huge weight on his mind, thank god he's shut up about us now though. I think he was trying to tell the world that he begrudgingly left Liverpool, he just got his words mixed up

thing is - i think it's quite clear that the club know what we need to do now - we've had a little taste with wins like city, but we've also had a few 'west broms' aswell which bring us back down to earth and show us how far we actually are....

i'm confident that whilst we might not be going out and signing ribery, mata, lahm and bale - we will improve, because the only benefit out of having such ****e options (poulsen, konk, jovanovic - i'm looking at you!) it shouldn't take to much effort to improve upon them -

it was kinda my point the other day with my thread on wha players would you take - if you ship out all the lads who are out on loan and then add people like poulsen and jovanovic who contribute nothing to the team.....then even average prem players would improve us - if we get half decent ones we're laughing, if we get good ones we're sorted and if we get top class we're laughing!

And then - on the other hand - chelsea are a mess.....they will no doubt sack ancelloti - they will bring in a new manager, and he will have to rebuild a squad.....Terry, Anelka, Lampard, Malouda, Drogba - all players on their way out - i think that ok they have the money, but it will harder for them to rebuild a team to get the best out of torres, than it will be for us

I am not ashamed to admit that I take great satisfaction in watching his demise. He turned his back on Liverpool in an instant, at a time when we could finally see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I cannot accept how he disrespected King Kenny and walked away so suddenly - he did not believe in the King and proved Liverpool really meant nothing to him. Well, Karma is a great thing and I am delighted how things have turned out, both for him and far more importantly for us.

If he apologised, handed in a transfer request and stated his desire to return to Liverpool....

How much would you pay to get him back ? 20m ?

I wouldn't want him back now. He was the chip on our shoulder and despite my feelings at the time, I'm now glad he's gone. We're better off for it, both in striking options and team spirit.

Know what you mean, but he's still Fernando Torres.

If he was offered back on loan surely we'd take him for example ?!

i think he's had to shut up about liverpool - imagine him coming out now saying "i'm happy at liverpool...coming to chelsea was the best move for me and liverpool were a dark tunnel...chelsea the light at the end of the tunneL"

                              £10m

no more than that - he's what 27 now, hasn't scored for 4 months, ****ed us over, doesn't look right in the head or on the pitch

it'd had to be a massive massive apology, and a transfer request stating i want to go back to liverpool and only liverpool

he's still half decent, slightly better than ngog and would offer cover for Suarez and Carroll

Yeah, ok, I'd probably go along with that.

Imagine if we got him back for 10million
