The Torres and Carroll transfers must surely be the biggest cock up in transfer history. Atrocious business all round. Unless you're Newcastle obviously.
    Oh I don't know.

Torres may have stayed in January that year, but he wouldn't have stuck around after the Summer when we signed Downing, Adam and Henderson. He would have been running out of Melwood screaming, and in all honesty I would not have blamed him at that point one little bit.

That factors up to 8 in 36. That's pretty terrible if you ask me.

Torres looks like the player Chelsea need at the minute. Think in a year or so people will think differently about his move.

people have been saying that since his first game for them though.

I think in a year he won't even be at Chelsea. I am sorry but no matter how you look at it, he has not been the player they expected they signed.

                    But can he step up?

Time has nearly run out for him. They need a striker who will dominate and actually win them games, not chip in with the 4th or 5th goal tap-in. Decisive match-winning strikers like Falcao for the big games.

The obvious move is Torres back to Atletico Madrid as a make weight for Falcao.

His heart's not in it mate. The more I think about it, the more I think he wants to come back. All that stuff about his son being a Liverpool supporter. These things aren't said by accident.

Sounds very romantic, but I honestly think after 5 or so years away from his home country, and with a new young family, it will be very natural for him to head back to Spain. Much like Xabi.
