he won a CL mdeal so looks like it wasnt that bad a choice for him either.

the only reason i dont want him back as he is a shadow of his former self. he is not the same player and not worth the wages we would have to pay.

would i want the torres at his peak back - **** yes but thats not what is on offer.
    Too much. Sense.

For years he knocked back offers from teams who have been much more successful than LFC in recent times and stayed at what was a mediocre team. And he and his friends were Liverpool supporters and they all had LFC tattoos except for Torres - his friends got him that "We'll never walk alone" Captains armband as he couldn't get the tattoo done as he played for Athletico. He got the move and the attraction to Liverpool was the club. His move to Chelsea never made sense, especially given the timing: why January?

      It's all history now.

Heart says get him, head says no.

For that reason, I'd skip him. He'd be a luxury signing and I cannot see Rodgers accomodating him in the system unless he was to revert to a 4-2-3-1 and push the second striker/advanced midfielder much closer to the forward.

I think once Stevie sees him in the eye passionately and assures him that he still has feelings for him, the goals will automatically come.

40% pay cut + 10m transfer fee and I might think about it

Dropped for the Juve game tonight. Sounds like Hazard up front.

Weird. He started scoring goals towards end of the season and the start of this. WTF has happened to him this time?

He's obviously not the same physically - pace, mobility - but mentally he's gone too. Just not enjoying it is he.

He's another like Owen where he had his best years here. Not to say either would have continued to produce had they stayed as the signs were they had already peaked. What about that Twix?

He's lost his love for the game, he's lost his hunger, that fire in his belly that he used to have and Suarez has in abundance.

If I thought coming back here might reignite that then I'd be desperate to bring him back, but I really don't think he'll ever get that back.

Another player who lost his hunger for the game. Another who has never got it back.

If we have had him in Athens he would have buried the milan defence and we would have won No 6. I have no doubt about that.
