          He's a professional athlete who's aged 33.

          Not 53

33 isn’t that old, he’ll probably get more muscular through his 30s. It’s the engine room that suffers past 28-29

We'll miss him when he's gone. Wasn't such a popular signing as I recall, but just quietly got on with being impressive.

EDIT: Couldn't resist checking. Very entertaining!

This just makes me wonder how old the person who posted the tweet is.

                15...?

As if it is inconceivable that a 33 year old could be in that sort of shape.

you kind of reluctantly come to realise that a team of milners would be hard working selfless dull ****s who will not hide and be ready to give their all.
less flash but genuine graft. yorkshire born, yorkshire bred, etc.

does he just look good because he is surrounded by mostly world class team mates though

There are posts in here with me ripping him as a potential signing back in his Villa days.

Totally uninspiring but a solid addition.

. to be fair, there weren't very many complementary posts until his stint at left back for us. The consistently wonderful dww called it mind.

                        Aye...

It's not much the tweet being posted, it's just that me phone buzzes with notifications from a couple of clickbait articles about how 'LFC Fans React with Astonishment Over Milner Pics from the US'

So here's me expecting some nightclub pics with Milner balls deep in some hooker, and instead its training ground pics of an, understandably, extremely fit footballer who takes his training very seriously in the twilight of his playing career but still a young man in the grand scheme of life.

And we're supposed to drop our **** over some workout pics. Lord knows what the source will think when he sees sections of the general public at a variety of ages younger and older who take their fitness just as seriously as Jimmy.

The vast majority of people who aren't idiots thought he was a decent signing tbf

There were some corkers in there though. Favourite being an unnamed poster saying they would have to think about supporting another team
Would love to know who the 'supporting another team' **** was

Ignore the ones were I say Carroll is boss and Suarez is **** though.

I hadn't quite realised for just how long we were linked to him. Around 4 years. He's like the English Pablo Aimar who actually did sign.
