We'll miss him when he's gone. Wasn't such a popular signing as I recall, but just quietly got on with being impressive.
EDIT: Couldn't resist checking. Very entertaining!Last edited by Tatterdemalion; 17-07-19, 10:11 PM.Really?

you kind of reluctantly come to realise that a team of milners would be hard working selfless dull ****s who will not hide and be ready to give their all.
less flash but genuine graft. yorkshire born, yorkshire bred, etc.
does he just look good because he is surrounded by mostly world class team mates though

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo................!!! !!Originally posted by Buzzo View PostIt's a sign off how far we have fallen in our transfer ambitions that I see Milner as a good signing.
There are posts in here with me ripping him as a potential signing back in his Villa days.
Totally uninspiring but a solid addition.
Originally posted by Buzzo View PostThe worry here is that Milner is one of our Marquee signings this summer. Signing Milner is the transfer equivalent of buying socks, they maybe essential, they can be reliable (except for the odd hole). They are definitely not exciting.
Modifying post.

Aye...
It's not much the tweet being posted, it's just that me phone buzzes with notifications from a couple of clickbait articles about how 'LFC Fans React with Astonishment Over Milner Pics from the US'
So here's me expecting some nightclub pics with Milner balls deep in some hooker, and instead its training ground pics of an, understandably, extremely fit footballer who takes his training very seriously in the twilight of his playing career but still a young man in the grand scheme of life.
And we're supposed to drop our **** over some workout pics. Lord knows what the source will think when he sees sections of the general public at a variety of ages younger and older who take their fitness just as seriously as Jimmy.

The vast majority of people who aren't idiots thought he was a decent signing tbfOriginally posted by Kenneth View Post
. to be fair, there weren't very many complementary posts until his stint at left back for us. The consistently wonderful dww called it mind.
Earlier post quoted below - click the arrows to see some of the many examples of people who thought it was a good move for us
Would love to know who the 'supporting another team' **** wasOriginally posted by Red_Polo View PostNot everyone was down on his signing by the time it actually came though - see above!
There were some corkers in there though. Favourite being an unnamed poster saying they would have to think about supporting another team
