His corners were/are absolutely infuriating (what is this disability we have with taking a decent corner!?) but his crosses from open play were good. Put in a real shift in the second half & helped us grind that result out.

Those corners. Charlie Adam was ****ing ****e but he could take an amazing corner and even he was awful at them for us. We are jinxed there. Even Gerrard couldn't take a good one.

God knows but it is true, his deliveries aside from corners were terrific. He needs to be taken off corners and lets give someone else a go - Lallana perhaps.

Still pretty impressive assist figures for Milner though considering how poor our finishing has been at times this season.



Edit: Ozil is on 8 goals and 18 assists this season. So Milner is in pretty good company with his figures.

Is Ozil's 18 in all competitions? It feels like he's nearly got that many in the leage alone, most of them in about a 10 match run.

Really is an excellent return from Milner, from a team that struggles for end prodeuc from midfield, especially as he's one of our 'biggest problems'.
