I think people think he's uninspiring because of who he is, the fact he's English and not foreign.

Let's look at the positives from potentially signing him of which there are many.

Firstly all of the above. He brings a lot of energy and strength to the midfield as well as assisting the front players. He's a great all round player. Has lots of experience at the very highest level at City and would bring this with him if he were to move which also means he brings a strong, winning mentality with him.

Doesn't mind being a squad player as he doesn't always get opportunities at City but he seems to display a very good positive attitude which is what BR is looking for I'd have thought.

He can tackle, shoot, cross. Has some skills, decent feet and is comfortable on either side. Gets goals, is still relatively young as well.

I really can't see many negatives if any with this signing. I can't understand what everyone is getting so upset about. Yes, we'd all like the likes of Reus etc to join but realistically it's not going to happen.
The sage spoke and now we listen.
    Oh I don't know.

You simply stated the facts here, not an opinion #jumpingonthebandwagonmuch

            Mcdermotx, redwino, maxiedge etc.

Have they been back in here since their initial deluge of wisdom?

I honestly think Milner is performing better than a lot of natural left backs and Klopp decided to use there instead of purchasing one because Milner is capable of being a top left back, he can get better, he has only had about 5-6 games on the trot in the position, probably ever, so I think he can get even better.

He's one of those great utility type of players to have that can fill in and do a job for us all over the pitch.

                    Our least talked about player.

I think he was possibly our best player over the whole of last season, and he has been almost as productive this season at leftback.

Contributed 16 goals/assists last year in midfield... and got 7 in 16 this season from leftback... that includes 5 goals from 16.

                    What a guy!
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

he went to left back to temporarily plug a gaping hole and has proven to be intelligent and hard working enough to look like he has played there forever.
one of our most consistent players and a vital part of the team
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

McAllister was crucial in helping us win silverware, if Milner can do likewise then he will be held in the same esteem as Gary Mac.

Matip is another in the current squad that might go on to be another fantastic free transfer
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

I think Milner is a huge part of our current success, he and Klopp are redefining they way a full back should play. One of my favourites really.
