Hendo is a better captain than Gerrard was and you get the feeling that his relationship with staff, both upstream and downstream, is better.

He is supremely disciplined, he keeps the rest of the team disciplined and we STILL rarely lose in games he plays.

However, Gerrard could've won so much more elsewhere so did make personal sacrifices for the team too. Just from a disciplinary viewpoint, I'm not sure Gerrard could've worked for Klopp, especially with Klopp arriving right at the end of his career when he (Gerrard) was such a fixture at the club

I'm afraid to say that Henderson is no longer the pressing machine that Klopp needs in his team with age, fatigue & injuries all catching upon him in the big games so safe to say that reinforcements are required in midfield this summer regardless of what we win or not!

It’s only going to get more significant with time. Jones is decent, but he’s not really stepped up a stale a claim to a starting position so I think you’re right, we should add a midfielder to the shopping list, if we can afford to after Hendo and salah’s contract renewals.

Garth Crooks making a shout for James Ward-Prouse as a replacement for Henderson.

He'll be 28 in November so I don't think he'd be a replacement but he seems like a great player and is deadly at direct freekicks!

Aye he seems to be a pretty good player, but different type of player to Henderson and tbh I think he is only at the level of a declining Henderson rather than being as good as the Henderson of a few seasons ago.

Do not think he would be an upgrade to our team.
