Derby fans saying he was anonymous until that wonder goal.
But he is coming back from an injury.
Edit: Just been reading Derby forums and most are giving him a 5 or 6 out of 10 despite the wonder goal he scored. General consensus so far is he offers something to Derby they don't have, i.e. pace and directness, but without a football brain. A Zaha/Lennon type.
I think he desperately needs some Rodgers guidance before its too late to mould him.Last edited by BigChief; 18-10-14, 10:34 PM.One tit for another.

He could and we would have destroyed his confidence. I've been keeping an eye on Derby forums and despite some good moments the general consensus is he isn't doing enough in games. Its all part of the learning curve obviously, but not one he would get with limited playing time and massive pressure here.Originally posted by Daniel 7 View PostHe couldn't have been any worse than Markovic this season, surely.
Even today, despite his worldie goal, the feeling is he makes the wrong decisions and goes missing. This is in the Championship. One tit for another.

although it is important for his development that he gets games under his belt, the stint in the championship isn't going to make or break him - at least it shouldnt anyway.Originally posted by BigChief View PostHe could and we would have destroyed his confidence. Look at Ross Barkley - he hardly was incredible for Sheffield Wed or Leeds and now he is being billed as the next Gascoigne (the footballer aspect as opposed to the drunk wife-beating, Raoul Moat negociator guy!!)

The championship won't make or break him, but it will give him critical development. LFC in its current mini-crisis won't. Ibe is a very important player for our long term future and has to be carefully nurtured. Sterling had Suarez and Sturridge to nurture him. Ibe won't have that here. One tit for another.

only by the media, most of the Everton fans i know would take 25m now and think he is more likely to be the next Rodwell than Rooney in terms of success.Originally posted by frank the tank View Postalthough it is important for his development that he gets games under his belt, the stint in the championship isn't going to make or break him - at least it shouldnt anyway.

Maybe not Rodwell but nowhere near worthy of the hype_____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?

i dont think he will be a Rooney.....but i dont think he will be far off either to be honest...Originally posted by red g View Postonly by the media, most of the Everton fans i know would take 25m now and think he is more likely to be the next Rodwell than Rooney in terms of success.

i wouldnt be surprised to see him go to chelsea at the end of the season for a huge fee. I reckon it could be all tied up in the Lukaku deal where everton paid £28m for him....i wouldn't be surprised if the whole deal was designed to let chelsea comply with FFP and they will give everton a huge wedge back (something stupid like £48m) for Barkley...... (making the actual figures something like £30m for Barkley and £10m for Lukaku!)

I always thought he could be something special but then look what Rooney had achieved by a similar age, Although he could have stagnated if he was left at Everton toOriginally posted by frank the tank View Posti dont think he will be a Rooney.....but i dont think he will be far off either to be honest...

didn't realise Rooney never even got into double figures before his Scum move...I reckon Barkley could be something special and I agree, there was definitely something fishy in that deal.....Funny how Chelsea seem to have got some stupid figures in for outgoings recently, Definitely somethign fishy going on with those deals_____________________________________

ibe and tex for sure, suso not su much.Originally posted by frank the tank View Posti think i would prefer to have Ibe, Suso or Teixeria on the bench as opposed to Markovic though.....removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Derby vs Chelsea on tonight, SS1. Probably worth a watch to see where our lad is at.
Reading a Derby forum last night the fans see him as someone who could have a magic moment that could be the difference. But some don't want him playing because of his ability to go missing or dribbling down blind alleys (Baros).
Maybe needs another half a season there to really blossom, and learn. One tit for another.
