Moreno and Ibe for the left side, Markovic and Manquillo for the right. Keep Henderson central.

I think 'Phenomenal' might be pushing it.Originally posted by BigChief View PostLast season and pre-season his shooting was awful. Must have been a confidence thing (like with Sterling even now at times) because his goals for Derby have been phenomenal. Nothing like Coutinho.
His all round game has improved considerably too. The best position I see for him immediately is left wing, in place of Markovic/Moreno. His strength, pace, directness, willing to track back and assists will be too much for most teams.
He was often 2-man and even 3-man marked in the championship. He'll need similar attention in the PL certainly with the smaller clubs. And once he's been marked, there's Sterling and Sturridge to take care of.
I only see good things with bringing Ibe back (and playing him against the smaller PL clubs).
Some good finishes.

That's a good point Lee. Let me check the loan rules and get back to you.Originally posted by Lee View PostIt does seem a bit weird doesn't it. He was doing well at Derby and it would've been good for his development to leave him there for the season.
I guess he's coming back to cover for the busy January and February period.
Would he be eligible to go back to Derby after February? Don't Championship clubs have the option of bringing in players on a 93 day loan outside the window?
Speak to my ****ing self then.

A lot of people seem to think he'll be an alternative up front, I don't see that at all. He's quick, strong and skillfull but he's a wide player and certainly not a central striker and I don't see him fitting in as a wing back.
I think he's a great talent with bags of potential but struggling to see a role for him at the minute

Yeah he did ok & will gain confidence having been involved in his 1st match back with us. Expecting big things from himOriginally posted by Gazzla View PostQuick, strong and direct and can beat someone for fun. As an impact sub against a tiring defence he can be a very effective weapon. Good to see him get on the pitch today
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Was reading the Derby forum today after their defeat to Forest. Suddenly their other 'wingers' aren't looking as capable. No **** Sherlock, now they'll understand how important Ibe really was when opposition teams don't have to 2 and 3 man mark him leaving the other Derby players with little room to operate. That includes Hughes too.
For those that thought Ibe ran down blind alleys, what choice did he usually have from his teammates? I can't see them coming up without Ibe unfortunatelyOne tit for another.
