Hope so. He might end up brilliant.

He might be playing more at Derby but its purely quantity over quality. Ibe now needs to push on with some quality around him.
    One tit for another.

And we've managed without him until now. Which games in particular did you think "we could really do with Jordan Ibe here" or "we are seriously lacking attacking midfielders"- its the 1 position we have an abundance of.

We'll see how many games he plays between now and the end of the season. I bet its not many.

Yeah maybe. Kind of ties in with using him as a mobile centre forward rather than on the wings or as attacking mid. Let's hope he tears it up

I think his versatility in a front 3 is where he'll play as cover for Sterling & Sturridge myself. Time will tell.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

In a few weeks, we'll have Gerrard, Lallana, Sturridge all back from injury- meaning he's likely not to make the bench. He's also cup tied for FA and League cup so can't play there.

He was playing every game for Derby, gaining valuable experience.
in reality the stakes are big now for LFC in every game. Also, our record with injuries hasn't been great so far this season, it would have been a kick in the nuts to leave Ibe out on loan, only for 2 or 3 players to get injured and we are then in a position where we have Ojo starting!!!

He is cup tied but he isnt Europa League tied!! Also, hopefully we go far in the FA Cup as well - so Ibe may be needed for league and europa games when the fixture list mounts up

With our lack of speed in the side he could be useful is loads of matches. ANother fast direct player cant harm us at all if you ask me and should get plenty of minutes to help him develope.

Sky must be desperate putting an U21 game on TV. LFC could lose 20-0 and I wouldn't lose a bit of sleep.
                    Forwards.......

What I mean is scores in U21 are irrelevant. And it doesn't showcase who the best players are, as the games are used to develop players as opposed to get the result.

Everything about Ibe's game tonight hinted towards a possible start against West Ham. Worst case a long period in the second half at least.

If Ibe was told to go for it tonight he would have ripped Utd apart. Even when dormant he looked the real deal.
