I think that's precisely what's happening too. Hoping we see sales not loans in future

Sterling was the same. Looked great initially then looked to be lost before it suddenly clicked again. I'm hoping Ibe comes good because he's been terrible lately.

He won't progress any further as he's **** and thick as ****.

Not the best combination in any field of work.

For a winger, he doesn't beat his man all that often. It doesn't seem to come naturally to him. Ryan Babel was similar in that he had decent touch and had all the athletic capability he'd ever need but defenders used to read what he was about to do far too easily. Hopefully it'll click at some point for him but I have nagging doubts.

Ibe was sub for England U21s, came on in the first half and was sent off for 2 yellows in stoppage time at the end of the game.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'd send him out on a season long loan next season to a prem side preferably.

At his age he needs more game time. At the moment he hasn't shown that he's is at the level to what we need but a few mins here and there will do him no good... a loan move makes sense alright.

                        why would we sell now?

he has lots of time still only 20 years old.

he's not worth a lot atm either and isn't on big wages so the down side to keeping him is very low.

the up side of the gamble is he develops as a player or a sterling who can be sold for 50 mil down the line. Even if he develops into a mid table player and gets sold we will get a bigger fee for him down the line.

plenty of 20 year olds haven't even made senior debuts at lesser teams yet, he's ahead of the curve experience wise for his age.

He has made 50 senior appearances for Liverpool so it's not as if he is likely to yield any new aspects to his basic game, only use what he has better so a loan might or might not eek that extra quality out but I'd not sell him.

If we do sell him (as he's been linked with Watford), I'd include a buy-back clause and/or a sell-on clause if possible.

I don't see a relationship between appearances and ability to add new skills to your game. A player can do this at any age, the physical traits are what can be limiting sometimes.

Physically Ibe is blessed, he's strong and fast.

It's his decision making that lets him down most of the time- this can be improved and most likely will be with more experience imo.

                                Unless you are Ryan Babel
