Thought he was very good today.

For a 19 year old lad to play in an unfamilar position in a derby and look composed and more importantly want the ball to take people on speaks volumes.

That shot off the post was a beauty but rather than put his his hands behind his head he was watching the rebound to see if someone could notch.

That's where he's played for us since coming back from Derby albeit as a sub.

So he was the wide right in the front 3 or the central 3. Either way it's not a huge difference in expectations. He's got a good motor so tracking back shouldn't be foreign to him.

Far more defensive responsibility as a wing back and he was picking up the ball far deeper than he would have been for both Derby and Birmingham.

Anyway i thought he did well. Not as amazing as Skrtel or as **** as Allen, Gerrard, Henderson, Sakho, Johnson, Insua, Poulsen, Kromkamp, Josemi, or Le Tallec.

Performed OK first half, rasping effort but offered very little second half until perhaps late on..... MOM? Not for me, but OK over all and glimpses of what he could be.
