I'm not entirely sure that works. Sterling signed from QPR in Feb 2010, Ibe from Wycombe in December 2011. While we might not have immediately dismantled "Rafa's setup" as soon as he left I also don't think we can really credit him that much with development that occurred in the years after he had gone. All in all, considering he was with us for 6 years and we bought a lot of young players for the youth team during that period, really I wouldn't say his setup had all that many results

I think it's generally acknowledged that Rafa bought Sterling, I reckon McParland was in control when Ibe was brought in as well. I did however say that I doubt Rafa would have given them the chances Rodgers did and is doing. IMO Rafa was doing good thing with the academy but I do believe Rodgers is better at managing young players. So all in all, a win for us.

I thought about that the other day, not looking good now having dismantled the youth setup. McParland, Borrell and the other dude out, Ibe and Sterling are to an extent derived from Rafa's setup. Not saying he would have given them the chance like Rodgers........

I can't believe how strong he is on the ball - players are coming in hard on him and are just ending up in heap in his wake!

The boy is a force of nature at the moment but he really needs to be looked after as that style of player seem to suffer regarding injuries.

This is a really stupid move by the club.

We obviously have have **** all money to buy anyone. He'll get **** all game time, bad move. Derby was a great place for him to play and develop.

Was excellent last night. Just like Spurs, every good attack came through him. Great decision to bring him back.

What's even more scary is that he doesn't even look like he's coming out of third gear. I think he can be even quicker and more direct than he already is. He blitzed passed some of their players last night and he still looked as though he was strolling.

He has an ability to shift the ball very very quickly too, deceptively fast feet.

This is so true, he makes the game look effortless. Playing with that level of composure at his age bodes well for the future.I think he's going to get a few digs now as other teams will want to see what he's made of. With his build I don't think he's got much to worry about.
